Jojo Rabbit (January 2020, Fox Searchlight Pictures) Source: Nerdist Directed and produced by Taika Waititi, the director of Thor: Ragnarok and genius behind What We Do in the Shadows, Jojo Rabbit is a satirical depiction of Nazi Germany following a 10-year-old who has Adolf Hitler for an imaginary friend. Starring an honourable cast including Waititi himself, Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell, this tongue-in-cheek comedy is already screening in US cinemas but will have its premiere in the UK and other countries worldwide from January 1st onwards.

The year is ending, this decade is ending, and we’ve had another awesome year of movies. I’ve been thinking about my top 10 movies of this past year a lot. There were some great sequels and original movies, exciting things happening behind and in front of the camera, and overall some really memorable stuff. I’m pleased to say that looking back, I have a wide range of favorites for a lot of different reasons. It was hard to rank these movies, but I finally came to a decision after hours of deliberation.

David Fincher was born in Denver Colorado in 1957, making him 62 years' old at the time of this article being written. In his career, which began in 1980, he has amassed some great films and filmmaking styles that he is fairly well-known for. For example: he is very well-known for his main characters receiving increasing amounts of pressure throughout the film and become either fixated or obsessive on one idea. Son of a "Life" Magazine writer, David Fincher was no stranger to the world of celebrity obsession and so, I believe he satirically put obsession into his films in order to show us all what exactly it is we're missing.
