20 years ago today, the world became a lot less bright. It was on September 11, 2003 that John Ritter passed away, and I remember how stunned I was when I heard the news that morning. I've been watching John Ritter since I was six years old, and yes, it was Three's Company. Like clockwork, when it was 6:00, I tuned into Three's Company, which had been in reruns by the time I entered this world.

Marielle SabbagPublished 8 months ago in GeeksRanking Pixar Movies By Era
In our second to last era of ranking Pixar movies we have the moving on era. It is a much shorter era than the previous one with only 4 movies. But it is absolutely an era all about moving on and leaving the past behind a little. I think the real defining factor of this era of movies is that the sequels feel pretty far divorced from their original films, and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. All that means is that these characters and the audience are different from how they started. And by most measures that’s a good thing. It shows growth and hope and the fact that an animation company was able to capture that feeling in just a few movies is an astounding thing.

In our third era of these Pixar movies is what I call the Growing Up Era. There are a couple of reasons that is the definition I decided on but the first being this is where most of the sequels to those first couple of era’s live. Most of these movies are about growing up, getting older, moving on, taking responsibility and they are geared toward the high school seniors who were the target audience of the original films. They all came out as we were graduating or shortly after.

32. Thor: The Dark World Thor: The Dark World was released during a time when the MCU was churning out some pretty one dimensional and pathetic villains, so it should come to no one’s surprise that this film gave us one of the worst ones to date (if not THE worst). At the time of writing this, I can’t even remember the villain’s name. And I’m so uninterested in this movie that I refuse to even look it up and include it in this review. Thor vs. Angry Elf Alien wasn’t even the most memorable part of the movie; arguably, it was Loki’s fake sacrifice and how it carried over into the next Thor film. Thankfully, this movie doesn’t seem that crucial in watching to enjoy the rest of the MCU films, so if you haven’t seen it yet…don’t.

As we continue with ranking Pixar movies by their eras (eras that I made up and defined all by myself) we move into the Disney Partnership era. This era actually goes beyond their partnership, this era actually refers to the first era of films after Disney purchased Pixar. This first era of the melding companies is actually rather small because as I have mentioned in the first article ranking these films, I decided to split these up completely by vibes and emotion. And I think each of the eras that I broke these into hold a specific set of emotions or intended themes for the audience.

News actu GPublished 8 months ago in GeeksRanking Pixar Movies by Era
Alright y'all we have completed ranking Disney movies so I am moving on to Pixar. Most animation fans would agree that Pixar movies are the best of what Disney has to offer. Now Pixar movies aren’t really broken into eras like straight up Disney films are so I am going to break them into eras because I really do think that in each era you can see and feel a trend in these films and how they are broken up. My eras are going to be broken up by what feelings, or intentions I think each collection of movies give off. Also Pixar has really never stopped releasing films. Its largest gap in production was in between Toy Story and A Bug’s Life and that was a period of 3 years. Since then Pixar has steadily released films every year or every other year, even during COVID. So there was no logical time period to break these movies into.

After so many years, I finally...finally watched Cobra Kai! But before I could watch a show I've been wanting to get into for a long while, I had to finally watch the actual films. It took a while, but I did just that, watching Parts I, II, and III of The Karate Kid, and even watching The Next Karate Kid in case there's a connection there.
Clyde E. DawkinsPublished 8 months ago in GeeksRanking Disney Movies By Era
The Revival Era of Disney includes all of the more current or modern Disney movies, though a clear era post these films has not been defined I’m going to keep clumping them in with this one. However for the purposes of this list we will only be talking about the 6 films that fall into this specific era. Much like the eras before it the ranking is kind of arbitrary, there are no bad movies only less good.
