Declan's Blurred Circle - A Review of "Knight Of Cups"
When you’re a director, making a unique and original product is walking a tightrope because more often than not, true attempts at real originality, especially in the world of filmmaking, can often result in movies that are both drastically flawed and utterly pretentious. And then there’s Terrence Malick. I’ll be completely honest. I didn’t know anything about Malick or his body of work prior to seeing Knight of Cups. I just knew that it would be an experimental movie. That really didn’t prepare me for the kind of experiment I was watching. And up until the very end, I found it to be a slow jog of discontinuous images and pieces of dialog, filmed exclusively at canted angles with a fish-eye lens while characters matter-of-factly stated their existential crises exclusively through whispers. It was disorienting and broke all the rules of conventional storytelling. There was no three act structure and a protagonist whose motivations seem rather paper thin and transparent on the surface.

I have been a fan of Bill Cosby's work ever since I was a child in the 1980s. Cosby created Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, a cartoon based on his life as a child in Philadelphia. Fat Albert was the leader of the "Junkyard Gang," which consisted of a presumably preteen Cosby, his younger brother Russell, Rudy, and characters with unflattering nicknames like Mushmouth, Weird Harold, Dumb Donald, and Bucky.

Because there are so many genres in anime, every story is different. Many are original, some are confusing, but mainly they’re always entertaining. Then you get the shows that make you feel like you’re tripping your balls off or just very, very high… seriously. You can’t tell what the hell’s going on, the colors, the lights, the weird characters, the bizarre plot… These are the shows that make you think, “What the f*%# is this shit?”. You don't know whether to run like hell or keep watching to see if it eventually makes sense.

Spider-Man: Younger Does Not Mean Better.
So currently, I've been reading articles and reviews and comments about the newest addition to the Spider-Man franchise and I have been more than slightly irritated about them. Since his appearance in Civil War, he has been dubbed "the best and absolute perfect casting for Spider-Man," before his solo movie has even been released and even if it is true, it isn't fair to state things like that as a matter of fact, because the truth of the matter is, he's a third try at a franchise that has never really failed in their first movie.
Steven NatalPublished 7 years ago in GeeksWhat's Right and Wrong with the New Live-Action Death Note!
Just mere months ago, the first trailer for the new live-action Death Note movie was released onto YouTube by Netflix. Not too long after the release, we started to see a love/hate relationship with the teaser, and that's to be expected. Yes, there was some great stuff in the teaser trailer (Ryuk mostly), but there were also some things that we didn't agree with entirely. Now before we get into this list, I just wanna say that while yes, we as anime fans do have a rough history with film adaptations *COUGH* Dragon Ball *COUGH*, I actually do see potential and have hope in this live-action adaptation! So with that being said, let's get right into the list!

This weekend a minor 80’s gem turns 30 years old with little fanfare but plenty of positive memories, especially for young girls. Adventures in Babysitting is a lovely little 80’s nostalgia piece that, though some of its unintended politics haven’t aged well, the film’s silly little heart was always in the right place and that’s more than can be said about most 80’s teen comedies.

There are those who love anime, and those who absolutely hate it. Those who dislike it certainly have valid reasons, and I’m not going to argue and tell you you’re wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I’m not here to convince you to come over to the darkside.

Poor Harry Potter, he's had such a hard life. Sad face. Weepy face. Tissues. I don't mean to sound like a cruel monster or anything but I'm getting kind of tired of everyone feeling sorry for Harry. Yes, he has had a rather bizarre start to his life, he's been put in dangers more grave than most of us have ever faced, and he's always being pursued by the same xenophobic maniac that murdered both his parents but is everyone blind to the fact that, despite all the adversity, he could've been much worse off?
Memories and Harry Potter
It was the year 1999 and hardly anybody (compared to now, at the very least) in Australia knew that there was such a thing as Harry Potter. I’d definitely never heard of the Harry Potter series in our somewhat small neck of the woods.

Whenever we get together, Slightly Twisted Games tries to make time to play a board or card game. We love games, and after we play a new game for the first time, we discuss both the things we enjoy and dislike about it. This has shaped our game design philosophy, and we work to incorporate our philosophy into each game we make.
Mark RivettPublished 7 years ago in GeeksNew Jumanji Trailer: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Jumanji is an adventure movie that first came out in 1995 and instantly became a family favorite. Actors such as Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt, Kirsten Dunst and Johnathan Hyde carried us through a deep and fantastic story that will forever stay in our hearts. Sadly I feel that the new movie coming out in 2017 - Jumanji: Into the Jungle - will fall way short of any such effect. Although not a complete loss, the sequel fails to capture the wonder and depth that made the original a timeless classic. In this article, I break down the good the bad and the ugly of the new trailer (you can watch it here).
