We all need to give love stories of our own a chance.

Stuck in Love was released to theaters in 2012. After his divorce, a father wants to reconnect with his children. Each member of the family has a different opinion about love. During this time, they meet new people and experience relationships. What is the true definition of love?

Coming-of-age films are always my favorite. Stuck in Love has a heartwarming message. What is love? We should give love a chance. The best message that Stuck in Love delivers is that change is possible. You just have to believe in it.

The cast of Stuck in Love did a wonderful job equating to their characters and their conflicts. Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly, Lily Collins, and Nat Wolff did an astounding job. The dynamic between the family was worked on closely. I like how they each had a subplot of their own which came together in the end.

Each actor does a wonderful job evoking new ranges. I did not recognize Kinnear until the credits rolled at the very end. Whether an actor changes themselves physically or draws into a contrasting personality, that’s what makes acting an incredible world. I have seen Connelly in one other film, and she is a wonderful actress.

The subplot between Collins and Logan Lerman was my favorite. You never know what anybody is going through. Lerman did a wonderful job dictating his character’s emotional journey. Nobody should ever repress feelings just because they don’t want to feel them.

Wolff’s love for the author Stephen King was the best part of the film. Writers will instantly connect to Stuck in Love. Writing is difficult. Sometimes you have nowhere to take the story. It makes you want to pull your hair out! And yet, writing is the most satisfying feeling to finish a story and publish it to the world.

We all have different ways to connect to people. I can relate to Wolff’s admiration for Stephen King. Just like books, we always need to look between the lines with the people in our lives.

Stuck in Love includes the talents of Kristen Bell, Liana Liberato, Michael Goodwin, Rusty Joiner, Patrick Schwarzenegger, David Cornell, Barbara Weetman, and a cameo by a certain horror author. It was my favorite moment in the film! The cast inhabits their roles.

The writing for Stuck in Love was the main focus. We learn details through dialogue, We can relate to all the characters. It’s a character film that helps people understand more about divorced families. The story is perfectly balanced with the drama.

Josh Boone focused highly on the characters and the story. As his first film in the director’s chair, he did a wonderful job. It’s such a simple story, and yet it leaves a big impact once it finishes. He found the tone. We all go through troubles. Nobody is ever fighting battles alone.

Boone especially delivered a remarkable message about love. We have to try love before giving up entirely. And just because one love story doesn’t work out does not mean that you will fall down the same pathway. Love is messy, difficult, but you make the best discoveries.

I’m surprised that Stuck in Love is not talked about more. I’m glad that I found it. The cinematography is noteworthy, capturing beautiful images, whether it was nature or conveying human emotion. It’s a touching story. All audience members will find a theme or character to which they relate to.

You should watch Stuck in Love. It is a heartwarming film. The message will touch all hearts.
