Record of Ragnarok Predictions part 2: Humanity Still Wins!

A Record of Ragnarok Fan Theory

So, there was a few things I got wrong with my last predictions & my predictions might have changed some things about the future of the series since it's been released. I'll go over more about that a bit later. Because right now, SO much has changed that it throws a Sun Wukong size wrench into my last theories.

These first two matches are the one's that have finished since I wrote my previous Article "Record of Ragnarok fight predictions: humans win!" If you haven't read it yet & want to, please click the link & check out what I wrote about the seriesbefore this. (Insert link here) Spoilers Ahead and with that out of the way.

SPOILERS!!!!

I was wrong about what Tesla's powers would be. I was thinking it was going to be something more than just prep time. I did predict the perp time. I was hoping his understanding of how things worked that when he got his völundr it would allow him to create things on the fly like a sorcerer. I guess he would have been too OP for whatever is coming after Ragnarok.

Beelzebub being a scientist & a master of vibrations is a beautiful twist that I absolutely love! By the end of the match I knew there was no way the Tesla could have ever won this match. I predicted Beelzebub's was going to win his match, I couldn't figure out who or how cause I had a love for Tesla. BUT, Now that he's no longer in the tournament, I have no biases left for the characters & can analyze them all to their fullest.

I was wrong about the fight order as well. But, so far, the ENTIRE FANBASE can agree that Odin Vs King Leonidas, is the last match. I have a idea that the writers Shinya Umemura & Takumi Fukui along with illustrator Ajichika might be picking the match order at random & already picked out the matches & their winners but to keep everyone on their toes they're picking the fights in a random order. Just one idea. Otherwise wouldn't having certain characters fight each other sooner or later base on their power levels be the best approach? Clearly the First 1 match is a great opening match. But Adam vs Zeus? It felt too soon to see this fight didn't it? But we'll see going forward. I'll go into more Unanswered Questions further down.

Qui Shi Huang Vs Hades is a match I couldn't put my finger on in a prediction. I didn't want to think they would use ANOTHER Greek Deity. I was surprised by Qui Shi Huang wins as well cause I was predicting that the God's Guest Fighter would win their match. I couldn't have predicted Qui Shi Huang abilities or völundr. It was a glorious match nonetheless that's going to be the first match I go over in this article below.

So, long story short if you just want to know what fights humanity wins and which ones the God's win then nothing but Spoilers Ahead.

Humanities wins:
1 - Poseidon Vs Sasaki Kojiro: Sasaki Kojiro won his match.
2 - Hercules Vs Jack the Ripper: Jack the Ripper won his match.
3 - Hajun (Anti-Buddha) Vs Buddha: Buddha is going to win his match.
4 - Qui Shi Huang Vs Hades, Qui Shi Huang wins.
5 - Apollo (god of archery) Vs Simo Häyhä: Simo Häyhä wins.
6 - Anubis Vs Grigori Rasputin: Grigori Rasputin wins.
7 - King Leonidas vs Odin: King Leonidas wins.

The God's wins
1 - Thor Vs Lu bu: Thor wins.
2 - Zeus Vs Adam "First Human": Zeus wins
3 - Shiva Vs Raiden Tameemon: Shiva wins
4 - Loki Vs Michel Nostradamus: Loki wins
5 - Beelzebub Vs Nikola Tesla, Beelzebub wins.
6 - ???

If you want to know the fight order and my predictions on the fight order, Here.

6th Match - Hajun (Anti-Buddha) Vs Buddha: Buddha wins.
7th Match - Qui Shi Huang Vs Hades, Qui Shi Huang wins.
8th Match - Beelzebub Vs Nikola Tesla, Beelzebub wins.

From here on out, I am going to use all the data provided above to predict a possible fight order for the rest of the series.

9th Match - Loki Vs Michel Nostradamus: Loki wins.
10th Match - Apollo (god of archery) Vs Simo Häyhä: Simo Häyhä wins.*
11th Match - Anubis Vs Grigori Rasputin: Grigori Rasputin wins.*
12th Match - Susano'o No Mikoto (lower Chinese god of stroms) Vs Kintoki: Susano'o No Mikoto wins.
13th Match - King Leonidas vs Odin: King Leonidas wins.
* But wait! 1 or 2 of these might be a DRAW! Yeah & what makes it worse is the ones that might be draws are both Human Wins. There's a possibility for 2 more Human fighters Vs 2 more Deities.

Now we have to figure out who both of these fighters are. To quote myself
"But, this isn't enough for me. I think I can predict the perfect weapons for the Human Representatives' and possible events that will happen during the rest of the series. I will do this all as I explain each fight & the symbolism inside each fight. It's all pretty on the nose & simplistic. That's the beauty of the series. To be simplistic enough to just watch and enjoy the series.

Next, we are going to quickly go over the entire premise of the series before we get into the fights for anyone who might not fully understand what's going on or for those who want to know why the God's & Humanity are fighting.

In this series all religious Pantheon's exist & coexist. All of their stories are real & happened. Every 1000 years the God's all get together and vote on if humanity gets to live for another 1000 years. The God's are pretty much the sole reason why anything & all major events that happens to us. Lost of civilizations, Extinction events, all the way down to daily misfortune, & our inspirations. While all has free will for the most part the God's are the one's that actually let change & progression happen. The series tells us that the God's put in this fighting tournament clause into their rule book as a "joke". Saying that the God's don't actually believe a human can kill, much less, even stand toe-to-toe with a god in a fight. This fighting tournament clause is called Ragnarok.

This is going to be fun. Let's begin!
They used real world lore form both Mythology & Historical lore to create there match ups, these character looks, and their outcomes."

I'm going to make it clear that I'm not fully sure which match is going to happen in which order any more. We have new potential that's been thrown into the mix. So, I'm just going to keep my Prediction Order & go in that order.

Before we get into all that, I want to talk about the Valkyries themselves. By now you should have caught on to the fact that their name's have major significance in why they are chosen for their völundr partners. So far we have seen 10 out of the 13 Valkyries. We got lucky with Buddha fighting for humanity. That means we would get to see all the Valkyries but 1 fight? Right? No not with the pending doom of a possible draw. If we get 2 Draws, A.) Either have to reuse a fighter, B.) Have a Valkyrie partner up with a 2nd fighter, or C.) Have to have a Fighter fight without a Valkyrie. This is something that I will go in detail over in another article. Can't make this one too long.
Starting from the 1st Match to the 8th. Afterwards I will be including the Valkyries in my predictions for the up coming matches.

1st Match: Randgriz (Randgríðr), "Shield-truce" or roughly translated to "shield-destroyer".

2nd Match: Reginleif, "Power-trace" or "daughter of the gods".

3rd Match: Hrist, "the quaking one".

4th Match: Hlökk, "Noise, battle".

5th Match: Thrud (Þrúðr), "Strength" or "power".

6th Match: No Valkyrie, instead we got the guy who knew the völundr technique, Buddha. Who was a gamer changer & guaranteed win no matter which size he was going to be on.

7th Match: Alvitr (Hervör Alvitr), "all-wise" or "strange creature".

8th Match: Göndul, "Wand-wielder".

Hasn't participated yet:
Brunhilde (Brynhildr), "Armour battle" or "bright battle".
Göll, "Tumult" or "noise, battle".

I want you to see something. I want you to notice something. All of that information is all that we know about the Valkyries & their backgrounds. We have nothing out side of personality traits & names in the Record of Ragnarok series. Let's think about that for a moment. We find out about the story's of the fighters but not the stories behind the Valkyries who are dying along side humanity, willingly. We still don't know their real motivations. Characters that clearly have been given personalities & thought out stories. So, I ask, why? They're easily just as important as anyone else on humanities side. Why aren't we getting their back stories? I know you all want know their stories.
They just gave us a tease of what Siegfried & Brunhilde history is. But what about her sister's? They just show up & except us not to be curious or sad when they died? Nah. I'm more intrigued. What are they hiding? I might have an idea of where to start. The original poems, but they didn't give much information on the stories of the Valkyries. Some had stories but they are extremely short. It revealed some information but not a lot.
What exactly is a Valkyrie? Valkyries preform the exact same duties as Shinigami & Psychpomts, they're essentially grim reapers! They're charged with guiding the souls of the resently deceased to their destinations. This, this bit of knowledge opens us up to a world of new potential possibilities for partners with fighters if for some reason we have multiple draws. We'll going over possibilities for the other possibilities for potential characters to show up in RoR.
For now, I'm going to go over the little bit of historical information we do have about the Valkyries that have been introduced.

Valkyries were once regarded in northern & central Europe as heralds of death. As "spiritual beings" they symbolized to the fallen warriors their qualities as "angels of death" who guided humankind into the afterlife.

The exact number of Valkyries in total is unknown but since they're Psychpomts then the number is actually infinite. Here are the ones I could find.

In Grímnismál (stanza 36) 13 Valkyries names are listed for serving ale in Valhalla: Hrist, Mist, Skeggjöld, Skögull, Hildr, Þrúðr, Hlökk, Herfjötur, Göll, Geirölul (Geirrömul, Geirahöd), Randgríðr, Radgríðr, & Reginleifr.

Darraðarljóð list 5 names: Göndul, Guðr (Gunnr), Hjörþrimul, Sanngríðr, & Svipul.

Þulur (Thulur) list 18 names: Herja, Geiravör, Skuld, Geirönul, Randgníð, Geirskögul, Hrund, Geirdriful, Randgríðr, Sveið, Þögn, Hjalmþrimul, Þrima, Skalmöld, Sigrún, Kára, Sváfa, & Brynhildr.

If you look at the names most of them come from Grímnismál except for Brynhildr. I think it's safe to assume that these are going to be the Valkyries used for upcoming matches as well. Know that we know where the names are coming from let's going over each one in match order.

1st Match: Randgriz (Randgríðr), "Shield-truce" or roughly translated to "shield-destroyer". Thor Vs Lu bu & Randgríðr: Thor wins.
This was a great opening match for the series. It really gave us a understanding of the premise & of how they decided their match ups. But this match up really feels unfair in comparison to everyone else we've seen fight. Lu Bu didn't have anything specifically special about him. Lu Bu was completely out matched from the start. No eye abilities, no physical abilities, he wasn't very smart or stronger than Raiden Tameemon.

Actually, I think Raiden Tameemon was supposed to fight Thor but surprisingly Thor went first. That would have been Strength against Strength. Think about Raiden catching Mjölnir and throwing it back for a moment. Instead we got a fight between 2 bored barbarians. So why was Lu Bu picked? Someone else was certainly a better pick right? & wouldn't Lu Bu spear fighting been better against someone like Shiva?

Every fight after this has a big psychological meaning behind it. After the end of the Tesla fight we see Brynhildr going to the room of fallen warriors and what they represented. For some reason, Lu Bu's said "Joy". We have seen it in the manga more than once now but it still doesn't make sense. Did his joy give him an edge? No. Did anything give him an edge? I honestly don't think so. The völundr isn't enough. The human has to have something extraordinary about them to give them that edge.

Lu Bu's Valkyrie partner was Randgríðr & was given the ability to break any shield. Even if Lu Bu was supposed to go up against Thor, what did he have that would have pushed Thor? Was Lu Bu a Throw away fight? If so, that would mean Brunhilde knew her sister was going to die no matter what. That's messed up.

Was this to purposely draw Zeus out? I think so. See, Brunhilde needed someone who was strong enough to make the fight & their techniques look like a fun fight. A fight that would give joy to the bored gods. If a human can go against a god then Zeus wouldn't be able to help himself & want to fight. The real psychology might be able the trap of joy. Chasing that joy. Always wanting more & more cause it's never enough.

That's why he is labeled "joy". It's not just about what they represented but was also their downfall. Lu Bu took joy in fighting & testing himself. Thor wanted someone who wouldn't die easily. Actually Thor might have Wrestled Raiden if they fought. Shiva takes joy in fighting & testing himself. Thor needed someone we could Respectful fight against. Thor's story was just as much about duty as Raidens.

Randgríðr does have very much available about her. They had the ability to do just about anything with her. But why would she willingly die for Lu Bu & this tournament? What where her motives. Until we know more about them, we can only guess since we don't even get to see any of her personality either.

2nd Match: Reginleif, "Power-trace" or "daughter of the gods". Zeus Vs Adam "First Human" & Reginleif: Zeus wins
We actually get some knowledge about Reginleif, but it doesn't come from Grímnismál. It actually comes from baby names & their meanings. Here is a link to the site about her name as it's too much to just put here.
https://www.babynology.com/name/reginleif-f.html
Everything listed here is a direct comparison to the behaviors & personality of Adam. I tried to look up and find out what the analysis for Adam was & couldn't find anything besides "Son of Red Earth", which honestly makes me think of Mars. So since, I couldn't find much, I think it's safe to assume that when they made Adam they used Reginleif as a template for his character & just made him the Masculine version of Reginleif.

Zeus Vs Adam was a fight about love. Zeus loves combat & Adam loves his family. The only reason why Adam lost was because he wasn't a combatant. He didn't train just for fighting like Zeus did. Zeus was a fighter to his core. On a Philosophical level Adam won the fight, his values & reasoning to fight pushed him to his very limit.

Zeus may have survived but Adam won & his love for humanity, his children, gave them hope that they could beat the gods if Adam could almost beat Zeus. If Adam wouldn't have gotten some of Zeus's blood in his eyes he could have won I really believe it. The end of the fight was just Zeus trying to survive long enough to get Adam's body to stop move after his death, his will & love was so strong that his body kept moving after death tricking the Ragnarok Arena itself. Zeus has pride, enough pride to know that his fight could actually be his last.

Zeus ended up recognizing that Humanity isn't as weak as they originally thought. A sentiment Shiva would share with him after his fight. Shiva was going to fight Adam, which Adam would have been no match for unless his powers would give him extra hand to throw at Shiva. Shiva would have definitely been catching hands.

I think Thor might have jumped the gun. Shiva was already eager to fight. If Shiva was supposed to go fights then Lu Bu would have been a good first pick. Thor might have been one of the people who opposed the idea of killing the humans & didn't bring him joy & wanted to get it out of the way. So, that's what he did. Brunhilde didn't even know who was going first but knew Shiva was eager & bet on him being first. Lu Bu & Shiva have similar stories & would have been a good counter to Shiva's dancing. But either way, Lu Bu was meant to lose that first match.

Brunhilde bated Zeus into fighting early. She made it look like they didn't have a strategy. But if you've ever been apart of a team fighting tournament then you know that the people who go against each other isn't random as they already know who they're going to fight. You make your battle plan from the start. Brunhilde picked everyone to be a counter. She knew we would lose the first match but was counting on the win of the 2nd match. She wasn't expecting Adam to give everyone this much hope, or maybe she was.

Adam's love wasn't just his downfall but his strength just like Joy was Bu Lu's strength & what got him killed. Adam's love is what gave us hope.

3rd Match: Hrist, "the quaking one". Poseidon Vs Sasaki Kojiro & Hrist: Sasaki Kojiro won his match.
Just like with Reginleif, all the information we get about Hrist is through their name & what we have seen.
https://www.nameslook.com/hrist
Everything in this link is a perfect description for Hrist & Sasaki Kojiro. We may not get her back story but we can find out so much extra info from their names.

This fight was the difference between Pride in ourself Vs Pride in our growth. Pride was the sin of Poseidon. He took too much pride in being a powerful god. That pride prevented him from being able to recognize a serious threat. But Sasaki Kojiro took pride in his growth & never stopped growing.

Hrist took his skills to the next level for sure. I think Hrist actually improved his mental abilities as well. Check this, in that link People with the name Hrist are like this:
"Hrist possesses a great sensitivity to higher vibrations and even psychic information. However, in order to find peace within themselves, they must learn to control this flow of energy.
Hrist possesses a bridge between the unconscious and conscious, giving them a unique ability to channel this power in ways that can be life-changing for themselves and those around them.
Those with the name Hrist have the potential to tap into a deep well of intuition and knowledge, and to use this power to bring about positive change in their lives and the lives of others."
Doesn't that sound exactly like how Sasaki Kojiro abilities worked? Yeah. With the Skills of Humanity he became confident in himself & everything he had learned & gained.

Brunhilde didn't know who to pick, she wasn't expecting to win this fight. Sasaki Kojiro changed all that. This win was proof the Deities could be defeated. Cause it wasn't just anyone who lost, it was Poseidon "the most feared god", The one everyone thought was untouchable. Not only did he lose, he lost to the fighter with a 0% win rate in real fights. That emotional damage was super effective.

4th Match: Hlökk, "Noise, battle". Hercules Vs Jack the Ripper & Hlökk: Jack the Ripper won his match.
Here we are again back to not having any information for a Valkyrie. But, I'm determined to figure out who the Valkyries are. With me being able to find name latter analysis for the last two & their numerology we actually might be able to figure out who Hlökk is & figure out who Randgríðr is. First let's see if Hlökk matches up in a name Analysis.
https://www.names.org/n/hlokk/about
The answer is yes, while I could find something on the name analysis there was nothing about the Numerology. The very little that could be found does match up with her personality & what we have seen of her. Guess I'm going to have to do the Numerology. H = 8, L = 3, Ö = 6, K = 2, K = 2. 8+3+6+2+2=21=2+1=3
8 = H: material, success, justice, (money, power, control, domination, business, status, leadership, strength).
3 = L: power, generative force, (creativity, growth, optimism, self-improvement, pleasure, versatility).
6 = O=Ö: perfection, harmony, balance, (home, family, caring, nurturing, relationships, harmony, compromise, reliability). Bonus note; F|O|X are all 6 & Jack the Ripper is a clever sly FOX of a character.
2 = K: duality, emergence, (partnership, support, harmony, cooperation, tolerance, receptivity). Since there are 2 Ks double down on these qualities.
1 = unity, creation, (independence, inspiration, new beginnings, originality, leadership, initiative)

With that we actually hit the nail on the head with both Jack & Hlökk personalities. We may not know who Jack the Ripper really was but we have one name for two characters that we don't know anything about in real life. With 3 correct in a row. This means that I have found out how they made their Valkyries and characters that didn't have a lot of information about them.

Let's try this with Randgríðr. The full Numerology chart is this
1 = A J S, unity, creation, (independence, inspiration, new beginnings, originality, leadership, initiative)
2 = B K T, duality, emergence, (partnership, support, harmony, cooperation, tolerance, receptivity)
3 = C L U, power, generative force, (creativity, growth, optimism, self-improvement, pleasure, versatility)
4 = D M V, solidity, dullnes. (Structures, stability, practicality, organization, work, making ideas happen)
5 = E N W, sensuality, pleasure, (Freedom, fun, passion, change, variety, adventure, communication, magnetism)
6 = F O X, perfection, harmony, balance, (home, family, caring, nurturing, relationships, harmony, compromise, reliability)
7 = G P Y, mysticism, psychic, magic, (Intuition, reflection, mysticism, eccentricity, depth, analysis, solitude)
8 = H Q Z, material, succes, justice, (money, power, control, domination, business, status, leadership, strength)
9 = I R, spiritual, mental achievement, (completion, conclusion, idealism, compassion, spirituality, forgiveness)

Using this chart we can determine that Randgríðr or Randgrid is R = 9, A = 1, N = 5, D = 4, G = 7, R = 9, I = 9, D = 4. After you get your letters to have a 1 - 9 value you'll add them all together. 9+1+5+4+7+9+9+4=48, then you add the single numbers of your multi digit sum. 4+8=12, then do it again, 1+2=3. Holy shit this one is all over the place no wonder they didn't want to make sure these two were developed. Dullness? Ugh.. boring am I right?

That's 4 in a row.

The Jack the Ripper fight is one of the best fights & mash-ups. There wasn't anyone else who Brunhilde was planning on going against Hercules. This was always going to happen. This is the first time we get a real look at Brunhilde & what she's willing to do to win. She knew every weakness of Hercules they grew up together apparently as Hercules being a big brother. That had to make what she did feel worse knowing that his innocence would never be able to out matched Jack's Malice. She knew he wasn't very intelligent, she knew jack was extremely intelligent. She was always planning on killing Hercules.

Justice vs Malice is what you would think the psychology of this fight is about. It's not. It's about humanity & how humans treat each other. It's about how one turned to his humanity. Hercules turned towards humanity through love. Jack turned to towards humanity through disparity. Not desperation but devastation. Hercules had people who loved him, cared about him, and respected him. Jack never had anything like that. It was all a lie. No one ever love jack only did the caretaking of him. Being cared for & care taking of someone is not the same. Instead humanity turned against him from the very start.

Hercules was allowed to go on hunts while Jack was beaten for stealing food at the same ages. Hercules got to see how humans come together. Jack experienced how humans rip away at each other. Both of these men were peak humanity. Because both of these men gave into their humanity to become who they are. Both indomitable.

I can't help but to point out that Jack didn't need Hlökk's consent to preform the Völundr. He forced it to happen. I think he can not only see others emotions/Auras but change his to match others. If that's the case then Jack might be the strongest candidate out of all of Humanity. Candidate for most potential power. He can Force other Valkyries or Psychpomts to Völundr with him. We don't know the full limits of the Völundr technique. What if there's another level to it?

5th Match: Thrud (Þrúðr), "Strength" or "power". Shiva Vs Raiden Tameemon & Þrúðr: Shiva wins.
I have been waiting for this, Thrud is personally my favorite Valkyrie so far & I wanted to see so much more of Raiden & Thrud. I think Raiden & Thrud was supposed to fight Thor. Why? Because I wouldn't put it past Brunhilde to make Thor have to come to terms with killing his daughter. That's right, Thrud IS Thor's daughter. This is also why I think Raiden might be able to pick up Mjölnir.

We don't have a lot about Thrud outside of her being Thor's daughter & the Goddess of power, trees, flowers, and grass.
Then we have the Name Analysis
https://www.babynology.com/name/thrud-f.html
https://www.nameslook.com/thrud
Both of these are exactly like Raiden & Thrud.

This fight was about fighting for the sake of others. One fighting for humanity. One fighting for the God's. Raiden would have won his fight is he would have took it seriously & went all out from the start. Instead he slowly realized he could go all out. Shiva needed to essentially warm up before going all out. That time was wasted by Raiden holding himself back. It begs the question, How far are you willing to go for others?

Why didn't we get to see Thor's reaction to Thrud's death? Why wasn't Odin more upset about loving his granddaughter? No, Seriously, why? This is what I mean by why are the Valkyries willing to die for this cause? Thrud was probably willing to go against Thor. Thor loves his kids if I'm not mistaken. We need to know more about the backgrounds of these Valkyries.

6th Match: No Valkyrie, instead we got the guy who knew the völundr technique, Buddha. Who was a gamer changer & guaranteed win no matter which size he was going to be on. Hajun (Anti-Buddha) Vs Buddha: Buddha wins.

This fight is about to be aired. It's the last fight of season 2 & it's such a fantastic fight. But I'm starting to question some things about Buddha. The way he moves, his tooth, his confidence, his nick names, is playfulness, they're starting to remind me of a certain monkey named Sun Wukong. I'm more surprised that Sun Wukong hasn't shown up yet honestly. What if Sun Wukong is pretending to be Buddha in place of Buddha? What if Sun Wukong was the one who fought in his stead. Sun Wukong can turn into essentially anything he wants.

What if Buddha didn't want to fight but disagreed with the other Deities. They asked him to be a part of the tournament he says "Yes Buddha will fight in the Tournament". But that line is deceptive cause Sun Wukong achieved Buddha status at the end of Journey to the West. He is called the Fighting Buddha & essentially his behavior is the exact same as Buddha's. The Sun Wukong also fights an "anti-Sun Wukong" known as the 6 ears macaque. There is a lot that matches up.

So, I wouldn't be surprised if it's later revealed that Sun Wukong was fighting on the real Buddha's behalf the entire time. Sun Wukong is a beloved figure & just a little bit less powerful than the top Buddha. To not have him in the series would be a massively missed opportunity. I would love to see the Sun Wukong designs they would have. I don't think they would just skip over this opportunity either. Or maybe they mixed them together but I doubt that's the case cause having them separate would be more beneficial to the story & audience in the long run. Where is Sun Wukong?

Buddha told Brunhilde about Samavadhana & then she renamed it to Völundr. I'll go over why for the next match. But let's talk about Samavadhana for a moment. There is an entire Philosophy around Samavadhana. You can read it here:
https://m.timesofindia.com/pure-and-simple/articleshow/8923927.cms
But essentially it's about unity with others & everyone benefiting from that coexistence. The definition given my Record of Ragnarok is essentially another interpretation of the philosophy of Samavadhana. It works perfectly honestly.

7th Match: Alvitr (Hervör Alvitr), "all-wise" or "strange creature" & Qui Shi Huang Vs Hades: Qui Shi Huang wins.
While we have some information about Alvitr in Norse lore her it's hardly anything. We find out more in her name analysis:
https://www.nameslook.com/alvitr
https://myfirstname.rocks/baby-names/alvitr

But the interesting thing is we now know where the name Völundr comes from. Völundr is the name of the legendary smith she was married to. His story is burtal. I don't even want to talk to much about it. But at least we know Why Brunhilde renamed Samavadhana to Völundr.
Read the story here:
https://pantheon.org/articles/v/volundr.html

Oh boy was I wrong about Qui Shi Huang. They made him extremely interesting. Qui Shi Huang had an amazing entrance. He definitely made it clear that he had a ego. After finding out about his powers & fighting abilities, it goes without saying why. His powers was the equivalent to the powers of those "fake marital arts" & their excuses as to why their powers didn't work.

Seriously the different styles & the way they worked was fantastic. Then they added to him the ability to see the balance points of thing that has a life force. Talk about OP. To balance his strength he had a real condition like Raiden that set him back & gave him something to over come. I can relate to that. Then to push it further, he used breathes of air to hit those balance points to make the fight go in his advantage.

It really sounds like they took the excuses of "Fake Marital Arts Masters" & turned it into his power. It makes me wonder if Brunhilde was going to pick Qui Shi Huang to fight Poseidon. The line, a king for a king would have still worked for that fight. But instead Sasaki Kojiro decided he wanted to fight right after Adam's match despite the fact he would have to follow up Adam's epic inspirations as the man who never won a fight. He was probably the only one who could had what disappointing everyone would be like. Instead he won.

We could have gotten to see Qui Shi Huang absolutely destroy Poseidon. I'm glad he was saved for later. See, if humanity has any chance of winning they're still going to need hope. If we spread our best & most inspirational fighters throughout the tournament we would keep morale high. If we put to much in front we'll burn out. If we put too little then we risk not being able to start that fire. So, this is actually so far working in humanity's favour.

I'm a little confused in a power scaling sense for the series. Qui Shi Huang beat Hades, Hades was able to beat Beelzebub, Beelzebub beat Tesla, but if Beelzebub fought Qui Shi Huang with their völundr, Beelzebub is taking the match every time. If Tesla fought Hades, Tesla is taking the match every time. This tells me that Beelzebub would easily win against Hades. But Hades bested Beelzebub. Tesla would have really messed Hades up & he would have done it really quickly.

Anyways, I digress. Hades was a great character who had great motivations behind him. I can't wait for season 3 to watch this match. The anime only fans are going to lose it. Their feats aren't even compatible. As an older brother myself, I personally hoped he was going to win. Good guy Hades for the win! Cause Hades was originally going to stay out of it. I bet Hades didn't want humanity destroyed but also didn't want humanity to be saved. He was in the middle & probably didn't vote. He was neutral until Sasaki took Poseidon's life. Then he just wanted a life for a life. He even says he doesn't have anything personal against humanity except for killing his little brother.

This fight was about duty. One a duty to humanity & the other the duty of an older brother. They hide their duty in their dignity & pride of their high authority positions. The story of both was the duty to those around them. Qui Shi Huang was willing to give up everything to fulfill his duties. If Hades had different motivation besides revenge he would have won. The god that defeated all the Titans by himself is definitely a better fighter than Qui Shi Huang.

I'm glad I was wrong about Qui Shi Huang.

8th Match: Beelzebub Vs Nikola Tesla & Göndul, "Wand-wielder": Beelzebub wins.

Again we have the same situation of just about no information about this Valkyrie. But there seems to be a lot about her name analysis. This was definitely the Valkyrie for Tesla. Check it out:
https://www.nameslook.com/gondul
http://www.meaningslike.com/lastnames/name-stands-for/gondul

I was wrong about this match up too. Because I knew Beelzebub was going to win his match no matter what, I didn't want him fighting against Tesla. They set both up so well. Both as scientists & researchers. It makes sense why they went against each other.

They did Tesla justice. The prep time, his attitude towards science, his intelligence, his spirit, they did him justice. His völundr being a suit he created is essentially the same thing as my prediction on a lower level. He had to think everything through and his völundr brought his imagination to life. But it wasn't enough. Kinda like how his real life ended unfortunately. He brought his imaginations to life & it wasn't enough. But this time the world got to appreciate him & celebrate him for his intelligence. That was great to see.

Beelzebub's trap card never even got played. There was no way Tesla was going to win. His powers, his intelligence, his weapon, & his last resort. It would be too much to handle for all other fighters. Tesla was our only option against Beelzebub. If Tesla was born any later in life, & had video games at his disposal or the internet. He would have dominated this match from the start. Beelzebub becoming The Devil when he is in danger or happy would have stopped the match as soon as it started. This might be foreshadowing to the events at the end of the Ragnarok Tournament cause we didn't even get to see it. Unlike in the Buddha fight Zero went through transformations. Will we get to see Beelzebub unleash the devil within?

This match resonated with me on all levels. As someone who is set on being one of the best Designers & Engineers in the world & wanting to make things that'll help push humanity into be a class one society. I felt Tesla's joy & love for humanity. I want to be one of the best Game Designers as well.

So, I looked up to people like Tesla from a young age. I set myself to try & achieve this goals when I was 10 years old. I understand his ambitions. His hopes & dreams. Tesla's who thing is about hope & doing the things necessary to make those hopes a reality. You cannot advance if you do no have hope.

He inspired hope. Because we are more than just a hopeful wish. As humanity we have the potential for wonderful & beautiful things. We just got to believe in each other & ourselves to take action. Even if that means working alone. But we shouldn't work alone. We should work together. Working together with hope in our hearts is the strongest strength that Humanity has. Tesla didn't build the suit on his own. There was others helping him the entire time. It just sucks that Bill Gates, Stephen Hawkins, Tim Berners-Lee, Margaret Hamilton, Judith Love Cohen, & Bruce Lee wasn't there to help him push his tech even further. God Damn, should have gotten him in the room with some of our best Sci-fi, comic, & manga authors would have took his character to a whole new level.

On the other end of hope, is dispare. The road to achieving my goals has been long & painful. Set backs, betrayal, & abandonment. Isolation & loneliness. Depression & Anxiety. Absolute disparity pushes people to their breaking point. Beelzebub had to go those all of this through no fault of his own. I can really resonate to that struggle & drowning in that darkness.

Because of Lucifer, Hades, & Lilith, Beelzebub would have never had the hope to fight against the disparity caused by that devil inside of him. Battling the darkness within is a constant fight. There are no breaks. That was what gave Beelzebub the edge in this match. Being cornered his entire life he already had the mindset for survival that Tesla didn't have. Survival & Hope are what you need to overcome anything, even dispare.

The end results is both of these 2 have vibes about them. One we love that'll push us forward & one we're scaed of setting us back. In the end, our fear of set backs normally overwhelms our desires to advance forward. It's a classic tale as old as time.

From here on out we be making predictions around here me hearties.

9th Match - Loki Vs Michel Nostradamus & Skuld "Debt" or "Future": Loki wins?.
Sadly, we have a similar situation with Skuld.
https://myfirstname.rocks/baby-names/skuld
https://www.babynology.com/god-goddess-skuld_norse.html
Unfortunately this isn't a lot either. So it looks like we have to do the Numerology.
1 = S, unity, creation, (independence, inspiration, new beginnings, originality, leadership, initiative)
2 = K, duality, emergence, (partnership, support, harmony, cooperation, tolerance, receptivity)
3 = U & L, power, generative force, (creativity, growth, optimism, self-improvement, pleasure, versatility)
4 = D, solidity, dullnes. (Structures, stability, practicality, organization, work, making ideas happen).
S+K+U+L+D=13
1+2+3+3+4=13=1+3=4.

Now we could do Nostradamus? Actually we will do Nostradamus. Because he was called our wild joker & essentially a trump card.
N+O+S+T+R+A+D+A+M+U+S=
5+6+1+2+9+1+4+1+4+3+1=37=3+7=10=1
1 = A(x2) S(×2), unity, creation, (independence, inspiration, new beginnings, originality, leadership, initiative)
2 = T, duality, emergence, (partnership, support, harmony, cooperation, tolerance, receptivity)
3 = U, power, generative force, (creativity, growth, optimism, self-improvement, pleasure, versatility)
4 = D M, solidity, dullnes. (Structures, stability, practicality, organization, work, making ideas happen)
5 = N, sensuality, pleasure, (Freedom, fun, passion, change, variety, adventure, communication, magnetism)
6 = O, perfection, harmony, balance, (home, family, caring, nurturing, relationships, harmony, compromise, reliability)
7 = mysticism, psychic, magic, (Intuition, reflection, mysticism, eccentricity, depth, analysis, solitude)
9 = R, spiritual, mental achievement, (completion, conclusion, idealism, compassion, spirituality, forgiveness)

With this it makes sense why he is a wild card, a joker, a trump card.

Why did I put this match 9th? Cause Nostradamus has already stated he wants to fight soon. I feel like this fight might take a while as well. Nostradamus is someone who can see & predict the future. How he does I could be with his eyes & mind.

He could have to write down what he sees for it to happen. He could be extremely lucky. His völundr could be a magic or psychic powers that let him see the strings of fate. We really have nothing to go on about these two for combat purposes. He could have the power to make anything he wants to become reality.

We know that Nostradamus was able to destroy the Bifröst. But we have no idea how he did it exactly. But that means Norse Deities have a bone to pick with him & I don't see him going up against Odin & willing. But him & Odin have the ability to see the future in their dreams so.. maybe their fight for the future will look like a mind battle? They keep making decisions that alter their fates & it makes them get locked in a staring contest unit one of them agrees they can't win? Won't be bored if we see what they're thinking about.

Loki losing might be a possibility but I really see him living through this tournament. He might be apart of what happens afterwards.

10th Match - Apollo (god of archery) Vs Simo Häyhä & Ölrun or Alruna: Simo Häyhä wins.*

This is the first time we actually have one of them doing something in a story. Ölrun or Alruna is the wife of the a legendary archer Egil. It's said that Alruna & Egil defended against a keep together. This is similar to the story of Simo who single handedly held back the Soviet Union in during the Winter War in Kollaa.

https://myfirstname.rocks/baby-names/alruna
https://www.behindthename.com/name/alruna/submitted
https://www.babynology.com/name/alruna-f.html
https://www.names.org/n/alruna/about
https://www.behindaname.com/meaning-of-names/name_OLRUN.php
https://www.nameslook.com/olrun

All of this is probably going to be used to build these characters outside of what's taken from real life. This is a surprising amount of information for this Valkyrie honestly.

Sino Häyhä is probably going to have multiple abilities just like Qui Shi Huang. Magic bullets, camouflage, & possibilities of being able to fly? It's a long shot. He actually might shoot Apollo down at one point by shooting his wings off of him if he gets wings.

This fight is going to be a shoot out. No doubts about it. But it might end in a draw. No seriously. Apollo hates humans & is going to be the god of archery. If this fight ends in a draw they're are going to either not count it & replace the fighters to give us another match or they'll count it as a draw and there is no win or replacements. But let's be honest we want replacements.

11th Match - Anubis Vs Grigori Rasputin & Ráðgríðr "Council-truce" or possibly "the bossy": Grigori Rasputin wins.*
This one might in a draw as both might not be killable. It would make it a different kind of draw than the Simo match. This match might be extremely long as well. It might be the longest match out of all of them. If there isn't a time limit for this match, they'll add one.

There wasn't anything I could find for this one in her name analysis along with her duties as a Valkyrie. That means Numerology.
Ráðgríðr = RadGrid.
R+A+D+G+R+I+D=43
9+1+4+7+9+9+4=43=4+3=7.
1 = A, unity, creation, (independence, inspiration, new beginnings, originality, leadership, initiative)
4 = D, solidity, dullnes. (Structures, stability, practicality, organization, work, making ideas happen)
7 = G, mysticism, psychic, magic, (Intuition, reflection, mysticism, eccentricity, depth, analysis, solitude)
9 = I R(x2), spiritual, mental achievement, (completion, conclusion, idealism, compassion, spirituality, forgiveness).

This is what we can expect of this Valkyrie & their abilities. Other than magic & material arts, I don't know what his unique ability could be. Infinite endurance? 😉 if you know what I mean. For the Boys! Lmfao but seriously he had supernatural endurance. He was extremely perceptive and persuasive. A sexual deviant. He actually knew how to fight. So, like maybe he does get his powers from a dark force of nature?

12th Match - Susano'o No Mikoto (lower Chinese god of stroms) Vs Kintoki: Susano'o No Mikoto wins.
There are actually 3 different Valkyries who can possibly be his parents.
Róta "sleet and storm", Mist "Misty Cloud", or Kára "the wild, stormy one". Depending on which one it is will determine if he wins his match or not. Hell maybe he gets all three.

Untill I know which one I don't want to do the name analysis & Numerology of 3 different Valkyries just for the orders not to be used. On top of that this article is already super long & past the due date. We need more information for me to make some predictions on this one.

13th Match - King Leonidas & Göll, "Tumult" or "noise, battle" vs Odin: King Leonidas wins.
Now this one will blow you away! Who will King Leonidas partner be? This one is Göll the last Valkyrie left. At this point in the tournament who hasn't fought & partnered up. It would be fantastic to have the character that's been scared & didn't have a full understanding of the situation to eventually evolve into someone who helps make the final blow deciding the tournament.

The real question is she going to fight before or after Brunhilde? Cause that's going to effect the mental stability of Göll. If King Leonidas can get her to tap into her hidden powers then, they'll win for sure. I feel like the war cries of the audience is going to empower Göll. Saving her for last if this is the case is going to be the trump card needed to beat Odin.

Ending predictions & questions
Tie Breaker Matches:
1st Tie Breaker Match
Siegfried & Brunhilde?
Brunhilde (Brynhildr), "Armour battle" or "bright battle".
When will Brunhilde & Siegfried fight together? Will Brunhilde be going against Siegfried?

2nd Tie Breaker Match
Freyja or Hermes teaming up with someone as their völundr since they're both Psychpomts.
Is Freyja going to be on the side of humans?
Are we going to figure out if Hermes is actually on the side on humanities?

What really happens if the gods lose?
What's going to happen after the tournament?

There's something that's going to happen after the tournament that hasn't been revealed yet. I even if the Humans lose their respect they gained from the Deities they're going to change their mind about destroying them & give humanity 1000 more years to get ready for the next tournament. I have a feeling that this tournament is a precursor to the next tournament where the winners will have to fight against whatever this new threat is. No matter if it's Aliens or The Devil hiding in Beelzebub or Maybe a whole bunch of Terrifying monsters that even Deities fear or have to go all out against. If it's 13 truly evil beings we're going to have regrets about losing so many great fighters on both sides. But if we take a look at which characters are winning & losing there's a slight pattern, they each fill an authoritary role during a war.

The Devil, Adamantine, Loki, & possibilities Loki's kids? Aren't happy with the results starting another war like the Gigantomachy starting Armageddon.

Every 3 matches is a season so far. Which would give us 5 seasons if there are two more matches that might end end draws. If there is something that happens afterwards we can expect it to have up to 10 seasons. Or double the amount of chapters as the tournament itself.
