If you are looking for an excellent movie to watch, look no further than Purple Hearts. It is Number 1 on Netflix for good reasons. If you like romantic movies, then this is the next movie you should watch. The film has all the ingredients that viewers will love. It is a story about love, romance, relationships, struggles, and good-looking actors. It could easily have been on Hallmark because of its theme, plot and expected ending. It was released on Netflix on July 29, 2022.

The movie is not based on a true story. Instead, it is based on a fictional novel by Tess Wakefield that was published on April 25, 2017 . It was the author's first novel for adults. As many people might suspect from the title Purple Hearts, it has a soldier as one of the two main characters as well as army-related scenes and rhetoric.

About the Movie

Purple Hearts is centered around a struggling singer and songwriter Cassie Salazar, played by Sofia Carson, who needs health insurance to pay for the high cost of her Type 1 diabetes supplies. Marine Luke Morrow, played by Nicholas Galitzine, is also struggling to pay $15,000 to a drug dealer even though he has been clean for two years.

Cassie and Luke did not like each other at first. It was the songwriter who came up with a plan that would benefit them both especially since Luke was about to be deployed. The soldier had more to lose if anyone found out about their plan to violate the military law.

After being on Netflix for only one day, Purple Hearts moved into the top spot on the daily popularity charts. It replaced The Gray Man after its eight-day run in the United States. Netflix’s Global Top 10 revealed that within the first week of the movie's release, Purple Hearts had been watched 48,230,000 hours.
