We all cannot wait for the new Marvel series Hawkeye on Disney+, which will be premiering in late 2021 or early 2022. The series follows Clint Barton as Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner as he is reprising the role that he has had since the character's cinematic debut in 2011's Thor. The series is also starring Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, as in the comic Kate Bishop became the new Hawkeye and joined the Young Avengers. Recently, we had a few glimpse of images from the set showcasing Kate Bishop in Hawkeye’s classic purple costume. This Hawkeye series is one of the first MCU phase 4 titles to push to a new generation of Marvel superheroes in their upcoming slate.

Kate Bishop’s costume is very similar and accurate to her attire from the comic, using multiple shades of purple that had not been associated with the original Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner. Generally, he was wearing nothing but black with a bit of purple shade costume. Of course, this was a different version of Hawkeye than what we got in the comics.

Andy Park, the concept illustrator who had been designing half of the MCU costumes since the first Thor in 2011, designed the new costume of Kate Bishop as the new Hawkeye. While it might not exactly match the concept art of Kate Bishop that was released several months ago, it still shows many details and lines that fans have come to expect from the new Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye. Check out the original concept art of Kate Bishop by Andy Park.

The new photos of Kate Bishop in costumes had been revealed from the series production in New York City. Although these images are only behind the scenes and might not reflect the final look that will appear on the screen or in promos, they look good enough to bring hype for all Marvel fans out there. Check out the first look of the actual Kate Bishop Hawkeye costume from the set below.

The casting of Hailee Steinfeld in the new series had been speculated for almost a year. Even Steinfeld denied her involvement in the series, but finally, the cat is out of the bag as we see some images from behind the scenes few weeks ago, seeing her and Jeremy Renner in action. Marvel fans are very excited and relieved that Hailee Steinfeld is actually Kate Bishop, knowing that the rumor is actually true. Producer Trinh Tran said the following:

“They’re both Hawkeyes in a way, right? So you want to make sure… I’m always interested in introducing new characters. And now we have a fascinating young female who is very interested in this role. So you’re going to see a balance of both.”

This was an interview that ComicBook.com did with producer Trinh Tran, who has been involved in the MCU since the first Iron Man debut back in 2008. Let me tell you, Hailee Steifeld looks badass as the sharpshooter in her accurate costume with the bow and arrow.

The Hawkeye series is also starring the Academy Award nominee Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Fra Fee as The Clown, Alaqua Cox as Echo, Tony Dalton as Swordman, Zahn McClarnon as Will Lopez aka Crazy Horse and the Academy Award nominee Florence Pugh, reprising her role as Yelena Belova from the upcoming Marvel’s Black Widow, which is currently slated for a May 2021 release. The series will be directed by Rhys Thomas, whose credits include Staten Island Summer and Amber Finlayson & Katie Ellwood, AKA Bert and Bertie, who are best known for their work on Amazon’s original film, Troop Zero.

Marvel’s Hawkeye series will be premiering on Disney+ in late 2021 or early 2022.
