DC Comics just released it's February 2018 solicitations! GEEKS has its take on the hottest books that are worthy of Cupid’s flaming hot chocolate arrows.

Mera Flies Solo

For the first time in 55 years, Mera of Atlantis will fly solo in her six-issue mini-series. As Atlantis’ Civil War continues, Mera must keep the peace between Atlantis and the surface world. However, can she handle Ocean Master’s wrath when he returns to claim his kingdom? Aquaman writer Dan Abnett and artist Lan Medina will hopefully answer this question when Mera: Queen of Atlantis’ first issue drops on February 28.

Meet "The Terrifics"

Mister Terrific, Plastic Man, Metamorpho, and Phantom Girl are the hottest superhero quartet! These four heroes must escape the Dark Multiverse, but to get home, they must find Tom Strong. The creative team of Jeff Lemire, Ivan Reis, and Joe Prado will premiere the first issue of The Terrifics on February 28.

“Young Monsters in Love”

DC Comics is celebrating Halloween in February! An all-star group of writers including Paul Dini, James Robinson, Kyle Higgins, and Jeff Lemire will join artists Guillem March, Frazier Irving, and Kelley Jones will showcase how DC Comics’ famous monsters celebrate Valentine’s Days in this 80-page one-shot! Fans can expect to pick up this massive issue on February 7!

Ozymandias in the DC Universe

Watchmen’s ultimate villain, Ozymandias, has made his way into the DC Universe! How will his appearance affect DC’s criminal underworld? Also, where is Rorschach? Can he rally the DC heroes against this ultimate threat? Fans will have to pick up Geoff Johns and Gary Frank’s Doomsday Clock #4 on February 28 to find out.

Countdown to "Action Comics #1000" begins...

In March 2018, DC Comics will publish Action Comics’ 1,000th issue! However, in order for Superman and guest star Booster Gold must get past two generations of General Zods. Meanwhile, on present-day Earth, Sam Lane’s life hangs in the balance. Can the Man of Steel save his father-in-law? Series writer Dan Jurgens along with artists Will Conrad, Brett Booth, and Norm Rapmund will present Action Comics #997 and #998 on February 14 and February 28 respectively.

Batgirl & The Birds of Prey versus the Calculator

The Calculator has been a major pain to Batgirl & The Birds of Prey since he framed the new Oracle. Now, Barbara Gordon wants to take down this terrifying hacker for good! But are the Birds over their heads when Calculator’s associate comes calling? Co-writers Julie and Shawna Benson and artist Roge Antonio will present the first chapter of “Full Circle” on Valentine’s Day (February 14).

Batwoman on Trial

Detective Comics will celebrate its 975th milestone issue with Batwoman’s trial? Future Tim Drake’s threat about Batwoman has come to past, and now Kate Kane must face the consequences of her actions! With Batwoman’s fate in Batman and Red Robin’s hands, will the Caped Crusaders shatter the Batman family further or let Kate Kane get away with murder? The creative team of James Tynion IV, Alvaro Martinez, and Raul Fernandez will present “The Trial of Batwoman” on February 28.

Watch out, Suicide Squad: Hack’s Back!

Someone has resurrected former Suicide Squad member: Hack! Now, Amanda Waller’s former ace has turned on her team! Who is behind Hack’s resurrection? Who is the Wall? Writer Rob Williams and artist Eduardo Pansica will hopefully answer these questions in Suicide Squad issues #35 (February 7) and #36 (February 21).

Roy & Cheshire reunite as "Titans Apart" begins

The Justice League has forced the Titans to go on hiatus after recent events. As Arsenal struggles with the hiatus, he finds out about a new drug running business that is targeting innocent New Yorkers. However, his quest puts his ex-girlfriend, Cheshire, back in his life. Is Cheshire friend or foe? Find out on Valentine’s Day when Dan Abnett and the art team of Paul Pelletier and Andrew Hennessy present the first chapter of this soon to be epic storyline!
