Season 11 of Married at First Sight came to an end on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. It was the longest season in the history of the reality show because of the coronavirus. Instead of being just eight weeks, it was sixteen weeks because the couples had to be quarantined. It worked to the advantage of one couple because it gave the husband and wife longer to get to know each other. Had it been a regular season, one couple probably would have decided to divorce.

Amelia and Bennett

Amelia and Bennett were the first couple to give their decision to stay married or to get a divorce. Viewers suspected what their decision would be before they announced it to Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Calvin Roberson, and Dr. Viviana Coles.

The couple's biggest challenge was to decide if Bennett would accompany Amelia to Virginia for her residency. However, Bennett said he would split his time in New Orleans where he has established his roots and in Virginia with Ameilia.

When asked if they wanted to stay together or get a divorce, Bennett surprised Amelia, the experts, and viewers when he stood up, pulled down his pants, and presented a gift to Amelia. It was her initials tattooed inside a heart on his butt. That confirmed what most viewers already knew. However, they were asked to make it official, and both Amelia and Bennett said they wanted to stay married.

The couple is living in Virginia now where this writer lives. Amelia works at one of the local hospitals.

Olivia and Brett

Olivia and Brett had been separated for a few weeks before the series ended, but they showed up on Decision Day. Brett left Amelia in the apartment they were sharing and lived in his own house. They discussed with the experts what went wrong in their marriage and made it official that they are getting a divorce. Brett tried to be cordial to Olivia, but she was cold toward him.

Karen and Miles

Viewers wondered what Karen and Miles would decide to do because they had not connected physically or emotionally throughout the season. Before Miles made his decision, he admitted that his head and heart were in two different places. He and Karen agreed the extra time together during the quarantine and not having the cameras around all the time helped them to get to know each other much better. During that time, they were able to see a positive shift in their relationship. They both decided to stay married and work on their relationship. If they had to give their decision earlier, they would have decided to get a divorce.

Christina and Henry

Christina and Henry's marriage was never solid, but the straw that broke the camel's back was over a text Christina said she received that accused Henry of being gay. Christina said she did not believe her husband was gay, but she admitted she handled the situation in the wrong way. She apologized to Henry for that.

It was no surprise that Henry decided to divorce. He had no doubt what he was going to say on Decision Day because he wanted to get it over with. However, Christina was unsure about her decision even though she said Henry never made her feel wanted.

Amani and Woody

The producers deliberately showed Amani and Woody last perhaps because they were more dramatic. What the couple shared with the experts caused all three of them to shed tears.

Amani and Woody got along well from the very beginning. Woody said his love for Amani and her love for him made him feel secure. Amani said she believes their love for each other is unconditional. Dr. Viviana was the first expert to become emotional over what the couple said. Then Pastor Cal and Dr. Pepper followed suit.

Woody became emotional as he shared that marriage for him is everything he didn't expect. He turned to his wife and told her it would hurt his feelings to not have her in his life. Everyone was in disbelief when she said she wanted a divorce. Of course, she was joking and quickly revealed that she wanted to stay married to Woody.
