Writers and filmmakers have been captivated by the concept of parallel worlds operating alongside our own for decades. Parallel worlds have served as a rich supply of plot ideas in anything from classic films like The Matrix to recent TV shows like Stranger Things.

These parallel universes can be very different from our own, with some being dissimilar, others being dissimilar, and others being dissimilar and others being very similar. We'll look at five parallel Universe movies and TV shows in this list and along with their plots.
