Albus Dumbledore was born to Percival and Kandra Dumbledore. His full name is Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. He had one brother and one sister who he loved even though they didn’t feel his love. In 1891, Ariana Dumbledore Albus’s sister got attacked by three muggle boys that caused her not to want to do magic and put her in hiding. Percival Dumbledore killed those muggles for hurting his daughter and went to Azkaban for it. This caused the Dumbledore’s to move to Godric’s Hollow where no one would know them or have known Ariana before the attack.

Albus in 1892 went to Hogwarts for his first year and he met a boy who was also an outcast named Elphias Doge. Both were excellent students who worked hard. They were both sorted into Gryffindor house like Alubus’s brother Aberforth. When Albus or Aberforth were asked why their sister never came to Hogwarts they were taught by their mother to say that she was too ill and too fragile to come to school. Albus Dumbledore got many awards for his achievements at the school. When he graduated from Hogwarts he and Elphias decided they wanted to go on a world trip to see everything on Earth, but the day before they were going to leave Albus got a message that his mother had died in an accident.

Turns out that when Kendra was taking care of Ariana she and a fit and powerful magic spilled out of her exploding the room and accidentally killing her mother which made both the boys sad. The event also made Albus the head of the family with both of their parents being dead. He thought his family was holding him back but in the end, he really did love his family until the end of his life. Albus regretted not being there more for his sister at that time, but he also regretted what he did during the time when he was taking care of his family. All he wanted to do was change the world for the better and he wanted to be a powerful being in the Wizarding World.

During the summer that Kendra Dumbledore died, Albus was in charge of his brother and sister. He had to put his life goals on hold for his family which put him in a bad mood. The nephew of the famous historian Bathilda Bagshot was visiting his aunt during this time and became friends with Albus. The nephew’s name was Gellert Grindelwald who would grow up to cause a war in the Wizarding World and he was expelled from Durmstrang before he had visited his aunt.

The two boys were inseparable even during the night they would send each other letters after talking all day with each other. They were planning for the Wizarding World to take over the Muggle World as superiors to them which is the exact opposite of what Albus would believe in the future. Albus wasn’t focused on taking care of his siblings, so Aberforth took care of Ariana which he was the best at but that is another story. Gellert and Albus were searching for the three Deathly Hallows at the time to make them the Masters of Death.

All they did was talk and plan to find these three objects well two. The only Hallows that they wanted were the Elder Wand and the Resurrection stone because they were the ones that would be most useful to them. Albus was sad that he couldn’t be the greatest wizard of all time while he was taking care of his siblings but that changed when Gellert came and his mind was twisted. They came up with a saying that would justify what they were about to do. The saying was “For the Greater Good” which in their mind was the Wizarding World taking over the Muggle World.

It is close for Aberforth to begin another year at Hogwarts which would leave Albus to take care of Ariana, but he had other plans. Gellert had asked Albus to go on a trip with him to take over the Wizarding World. All their planning was coming to life. Until Aberforth found out and he argued with Albus that he couldn’t go because Ariana was too fragile to travel, but Albus wouldn’t listen because he was blinded by the love he had for Gellert. Gellert didn’t like that Aberforth was trying to keep Albus from changing the world and doing what he thought was right.

The three of them started to duel each other and no one knew who was going to win. Gellert at the time was the master of the Elder Wand which is a wand that was undefeated. Ariana heard the fighting and she wanted to save Aberforth, who was her only friend, but she didn’t know-how. She got upset and magic exploded out of her disarming Gellert which made her the master of the Elder Wand but a few seconds later both Albus and Gellert used the killing curse. Albus’s curse hit her first, killing his sister and it caused him pain when he found out.

At her funeral, Abberforth blamed Albus for Ariana’s death and punched his brother in the nose, breaking it. The death of their sister caused a break in their relationship.

After Gellert Grindelwald ran away after seeing Ariana die he decided he was going to live the dream and make the Wizarding War rule over the Muggle World as their superiors. He shared this dream with Asomethingledore who at the time became the Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts. It wasn’t the job he was wanting but he realized that trying to be a powerful wizard was not something he wanted to do anymore. After Ariana died Albus’s priorities were switched and he became less obsessed with gaining power.

Realizing that there were more things in life than being famous is what kind of made him one of the greatest wizards of all time. Albus tried to help the Wizarding World by figuring out new things and inventing ways you could do stuff. In the end, he was asked to be Minister for Magic many times and turned it down every single time because he didn’t want to bring his old obsession up again.

Albus had to duel with Grindelwald who still had the Elder Wand to finish the War that was going on because of Grindelwald. The Elder Wand can only serve its master and will make sure its master wins. That is the reason why Dumbledore waited so long to confront Grindelwald not because he was a good friend but because this duel will show who had killed Ariana the night of their three-way duel.

After the duel was over it broke Dumbledore’s heart to find out that he had killed his sister and he lived with that regret for his whole life. Now, Albus has another encounter with another going to become a dark wizard person named Tom Marvolo Riddle Jr., or as you might know him as Lord Voldemort. Albus Dumbledore was the Hogwarts person who went to see Tom to explain that he was a wizard and was going to Hogwarts for school. Even though Tom was a half-blood he was living in a muggle orphanage so he had to be told the way a muggle-born would be told. Albus would later tell Harry Potter that he didn’t suspect at that moment that he had just talked to the person that would become one of the greatest dark wizards of all time.

Now, Albus was still a teacher at Hogwarts and he didn’t become Headmaster until Headmaster Dippet retired. He was the only teacher that had suspicions about Tom Riddle because of how he acted. Tom was very charming, persuasive, and good at magic which made all the teachers believe that he would become a great wizard. Well, they got that part right. Albus always suspected that something else was going on with Tom Riddle. Albus kept all of his opinions to himself.

Tom Riddle realized a basilisk on the muggle-borns in the school and he blamed it on Rubeus Hagrid which got him expelled from Hogwarts. After that Albus followed what Tom did after Hogwarts, but lost where he was along the way. Tom started a Wizarding War killing muggle-borns and muggle families. Dumbledore started a resistance called the Order of the Phoenix, but they were still majorly outnumbered by Voldemort and the Death Eaters (his followers).

That didn’t stop people from joining the order like James and Lily right out of Hogwarts. They got married and had a kid during this time. Albus was meeting a teacher who was going to teach Divination when she had a vision. A prophecy that said how the Dark Lord was going to be destroyed. Knowing that James and Lily were expecting and so were Frank and Alice Longbottom around the same time. When both babies were born a day apart at the same time the prophecy said that the person to defeat him would be born. It was only a matter of time before the Dark Lord picked one to “mark as his equal”. It had to be one of these babies and on October 31st the Dark Lord was defeated by Harry Potter on the same day his parents James and Lily were killed.

10 years later Harry went to Hogwarts and Albus took him under his wing to protect him knowing that Voldemort was going to come back someday. That day was in 1995 during the last challenge of the TriWizard tournament, but no one believed he was back until 1996. Dumbledore created the Order of the Phoenix again to try to overpower him and this time it was better still outnumbered but better. Harry tried to do everything he could to help Albus. In his 6th year at Hogwarts Harry started learning about Tom Riddle's past from Dumbledore to help him try to find Tom’s weak spot and defeat him.

They found out how many Horcruxes Tom had and how to get them and Dumbledore invited Harry to come with him to get the Horcrux which was in a basin with a potion that made you wish you were dead. Dumbledore drank all of it so Harry could get the Horcrux. When they got back to Hogwarts they went to the top of the Astronomy Tower. Where Snape killed Dumbledore as they planned so that Voldemort would trust him more.

That is the life of Albus Dumbledore, a man who lived his life to the fullest and helped the Wizarding World in many ways. Everyone had to trust him even if he sounded crazy. His whole life is very interesting to me.
