‘Kristen Alfonso might be new love interest for Jack on ‘The Young and the Restless’.

A lot of changes came to daytime television after the coronavirus and there were major differences when post COVID-19 programming began to air. One noticeable change was that Kristan Alfonso was no longer on the NBC daytime drama Days of Our Lives. The actress taped her final scenes prior to the new episodes and ended a career that spanned close to 4 decades. Those who enjoy her work may not have long to miss her, however, if rumors are true. Soap Dirt is reporting some wonderful news for fans of the lovely Alfonso, who want to see her back on the small screen.

Although the popular actress just wrapped up a close to 40 year stint on Days where she portrayed Hope Williams Brady, she could soon be seen on a different soap on another channel. Kristian had not revealed any details about her future but allegedly she is in talks regarding working on a Spoilers are reporting that the veteran actress is allegedly is in talks with CBS about joining The Young and the Restless. She was recently quoted as saying she was looking for work and she may just get the job of a lifetime. If rumors are correct Alfonso will be portraying a new love interest for Peter Bergman’s character Jack Abbott. It has been a long time since Jack was involved in a real relationship.

The last time he fated anyone was when he was involved with Kerry. It turned out that she basically was a spy for Ashley when the two oldest Abbott’s were at war with each other. No details have been given as to the specifics of when Alfonso will show up in Genoa City or how her character will fit in. Spoiler alerts do suggest this is a done deal. Alfonso will be a great edition to Y&R because she is an excellent actress with an impressive track record. Kristen should be able to hold her own with Jack and the other Abbott’s. Right now the family focus is on Fina and her final days with Alzheimer’s disease. Although her loved ones are bracing themselves for the inevitable, it still will not be easy. Jack will need someone to turn to when his grief becomes unbearable. The Young and the Restless has made a number of changes during the past few years such as hiring and firing two of the actors who were part of the Rosales family. Daniel Goddard who portrayed Cane Ashby was abruptly let go and viewers are still complaining. A number of popular characters like Lauren. Michael. Paul, Chloe, and Kevin are not getting a lot of air time.

Gina Tognoni was fired and Michelle Stafford rehired as Phyllis and Adam and Chelsea both came back to town. The Rosales family was cut in half and now the remaining two may soon be gone. Y&R viewers would love to see Jack fall in love again, but bringing Alfonso on at this pivotal time could backfire. Spoilers from Soap Dirt indicated a few weeks back that Greg Rikaart who portrays Kevin, and Jordi Vilasuso who plays Rey might be out, while Michael Damian who portrays Danny Romalati could be coming back to Genoa City. The jury is still out on Sasha Cale who portrays Lola but she is often out of town in Miami.

There also had been rumors since the end of 2019 that head writer Josh Griffith and Jason Thompson who plays Billy Abbott were going to be fired, but so far both are still with The Young and the Restless.
