Kardashians vs Dark

The music is "That Don't Impress Me Much" by Shania Twain which always makes me smile, as well as being a decent record.

The Kardashians

I have never watched the Kardashians and they fall into a lot of things that people have berated me for not watching listening to or using. There is so much that we can watch, read or listen too that even if I just had Netflix and wtched everything on it, start to finish, I woud expire before I finished.

Today success is measured by sales and popularity and The Kardashians certainly has that. Terry Pratchett (who I like as a guy but only enjoyed "Mort" in his books, and some of the TV adaptations) compalined that he never won awards, but he was appreciated by his readers and book sales, and surely that must have made him comfortable.

The same with The Kardashians, lots of people enjoy watching them, therefore they provide pleasure and obviously generate a lot in sales.

So there are a lot of plus points for the Kardashians as an entity, but I will watch it wind on its merry way and spend my time in other ways.

DAЯK

This series lives up to its name but it can be like intense school work. You cannot miss anything or skip anying , resulting in having to rewatch sections. It is in German, but I don't speak German, so went with the dubbed version which sometimes can be a bit annoying.

This is not one for te average Soap or Reality TV fan. You have to think and excercise your mind, and even for me that is difficult. The mix of time travel, child murder, abduction, bad dialogue, gore filled abuse, and older people meeting their younger selve makes for an unsavoury stew.

I had to give it a couple of tries, but I know that even the taglines are enogh to put people on. This is not relaxing.

This is not for thefaint hearted.
