Jesse Pinkman caused more pain to Brock than Walt ever did

Jesse was too good for his own good.

Breaking Bad is considered one of the greatest television shows of all time, staying relevant even after a decade.

We can all agree that the show's primary main character Walter White did indeed break a lot of bad, by the end of the show he was a completely different person.

But one thing I noticed in the show that I found being ignored and not talked about was how Jesse acted way too emotionally without thinking rationally.

I always thought that Jesse working with Hank and Steve due to Walt poisoning Brock was a really realistic approach, but I think and stand by the opinion that Jesse Pinkman should not have done what he did.

I do understand his anger and frustration, but he should have remembered the numerous times Walt saved his life.

In fact it begun with the first episode, if Walt had not poisoned Krazy 8 and Emilio, both him and Jesse would have probably been killed.

Not to mention that Walt literally ran over Gus's 'employees' to save him, and even shot one of them.

Walt could have shut up, let Jesse die, then work with Gus under preferable conditions and made millions of dollars all while having no threats to his life and his family.

But he risked it all and went against Gus's wishes.

He even hid him and genuinely wanted to save his life, and at that point Jesse didn’t know the incident with Jane so he had no real reason to go so belligerently against Walt.

The thing that drove Jesse so malevolent towards Walt was the fact that he had poisoned Brock.

Now I understand why he might be angry, anyone would be. But I really do not believe that trying to murder a person because they calculatingly poisoned a child who is now completely fine is really pragmatic, especially given the circumstances they were in.

Walt had saved his life many times on multiple occasions, albeit Jesse had to endure a lot of pain, manipulation and humiliation, even losing a loved one.

But here we are looking strictly from Jesse's perspective and all he knew was Walter had no relation with the demise of Jane.

Now look at it, Walt had saved Jesse's life multiple times, and had carefully calculated just the perfect amount of the ricin for Brock, and that too was done because it was absolutely necessary.

Jesse should have thought about that and not acted to rashly. He could have simply confronted Walt about it. If he had understood why it needed to be done, Walt's empire would never fall and Hank and Steve would be alive, Walt Jr. and Holly's life would not have been ruined, Marie would have been fine.

If I were Jesse I would have agreed (maybe grudgingly and angrily) that the person who can cook 99% pure substance can judge what amount of the poison he created will not take a child's life (though a little luck is definitely required)

I mean what else was he supposed to do, Gus had completely turned Jesse on his side, and he too manipulated Jesse through several arranged incidents.

The entire thing had begun because of the fact that Walt had wanted to save Jesse in the first place.

Jesse should not have been so uncontrollably mad because Walt had save his life by very carefully poisoning Brock.

And what did he think he would achieve by cancelling his disappearing and returning.

What really would he have acquired if Walt had gone to prison or died, Brock would not be any healthier, he already was.

Brock was fine, Andrea was good, and he could have just left and ensured peace and safety for them.

We all know how it turned out when Jesse let his emotions take control over him. If he had just taken a new identity like he was about too, he would have saved Andrea's life and himself from months of torture.

If Jesse had not acted so impulsively, Andrea would still be there.

In the end, Jesse caused more pain to Brock than Walt ever did.

Though Walt is the bad guy and Jesse is the nice guy.

I think it's safe to say that Jesse Pinkman was too good for his own good.
