This book is absolutely hysterical! Oh I love Ms. Sheraton by the way, her mouth and attitude are extremely perfectly suited to being Jenny’s best friend. The opening page alone is comedic gold and it makes me love her more and hate Alpha Man even more than I thought was going to be possible. It is one thing to think you are entitled but it is a whole nother realm when you act like it and don’t care who your acting that in front of. He picked the wrong person to be going on like this to and i’ll be hard pressed if she doesn’t do something to so completely and utterly mess up his world at some point in time during this story. Yes I am engaged in the book and yes I am invested in the story and it’s so incredibly well done by these guys to get us to this point.

I am very much enjoying the way that this is being told. The story & plot development that we see through how the sequence of events unfold as well as how the reader learns information is presented exceptionally well. The character development we see through the dialogue, the character interaction and how they act and react to the situations and circumstances which they encounter is absolutely bloody genius. The pacing is superb and as it takes us through the pages revealing more of the story, more about the characters and introducing us to new ones well it’s easy to get caught up in the funny as the serious tries to take over.

How we see this being structured and how the layers within the story continue to grow, evolve and strengthen while new ones emerge thanks to how we see all these various avenues is great. The layers contain the incredible characterisation, the new plot twists and revelations and whether they work with the main arc or simply swirl around it they add depth and complexity to the story. How we see everything working together to create the story’s ebb & flow as well as how it moves the story forward is greatly achieved.

The more I see these interiors the more I like them. It has a very Eastern feel and charm to them but it does very Western World at the same time. I would say heavily influenced is better terminology. I think the linework is great and how the varying weights and techniques being utilised to create the detail work is fantastic! There are way too many blank spaces where backgrounds could be because when we do see them they do wonders in enhancing the moments and then working within the composition within the panels they help create the depth perception, sense of scale and the overall sense of size and scope of the story. The utilisation of the page layouts and how we see the angles and perspective in the panels show a remarkably talented eye for storytelling. The colour work is beautifully done. How we see the various hues and tones within the colours being utilised to create the shading, highlights and shadow work is extremely well rendered.

This is a hoot and a holler. The humour is highbrow and lowbrow and the way it comes out at those perfect moments makes for an utterly delightful read. With smart witty writing and dynamic and interesting interiors these folks have found a winning formulae to creating one of today’s most fascinating reads.
