Shooting of Nitesh Tiwari's film Ramayana has started. Recently, some pictures of actors from the set were also revealed, in which Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, or Sheeba Chaddha were seen in full costume. Nitesh Tiwari has also been seen on the set of the film.

Ramayana can be said to be the biggest film of Ranbir Kapoor's career, for which he has charged a hefty fee. There are reports that Nitesh Tiwari is going to make the Ramayana film in three parts.

According to the reports on Koimoi.com, Ranbir Kapoor has been charged Rs 75 crore for one film of Ramayana, which means he will be given Rs 225 crore for three films. Pallavi, who is going to play the role of Sita, will be given only Rs 6 to 8 crores for a film.

Cast of Ramayana Film

  • Ranbir Kapoor as Ram
  • Sunny Deol as Hanuman
  • Yash as Ravana
  • Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara
  • Sai Pallavi as Sita
  • Ravi Dubey as Lakshman
  • Indira Krishnan as Kausalaya
  • Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi
  • Arun Govil as Dashrath

Is Yash Playing Ravana?

There's buzz going around that Yash, a well-known actor in the Kannada film scene, is set to portray the character of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming Ramayana movie. Reports suggest he'll be paid around Rs 50 crore for the role.

A few days ago, news also came that Yash will be seen only in the second and third parts of the Ramayana, for which he will be given a total of Rs 100 crore.

The popularity of Yash or Ranbir Kapoor's films is sky high after KGF or Brahmastra.

Ramayana Film Release Date

Recently, some pictures surfaced on social media and were shared, but after some time, they were deleted.

The creators of the movie don't want any pictures or videos from the film set to spread before they're ready. They're working hard to keep everything under wraps, but a few sneak peeks have still popped up online.

Rumors suggest that the official announcement might happen on Ram Navami.

Media reports are claiming that Ramayana will be a big-budget multi-starrer film in which, along with Bollywood, South actors will also be cast.

According to reports from Pinkvilla, German film score composer and music producer Hans Zimmer, who has written music for films like The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, Man of Steel, Interstellar, and No Time to Die, is going to make his Bollywood debut with Ramayana.

Hans will prepare the music of the Ramayana with AR Rahman.

Makers want that Ramayana be perfect in every aspect, be it VFX, costumes, dialogue delivery, or music.

That is why producer Namit Malhotra, along with Nitesh Tiwari, has approached Hans Zimmer; however, the Nitesh Tiwari Ramayana and things related to it have not been officially announced.

While Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi can be seen in the role of Sita. Like I told you, Yash will play the role of Ravana.

Now, although nothing is confirmed, some reports also say that Yash has clearly refused to play the role of Ravana.

Conclusion

So the overall budget of the Ramayana film is being said to be Rs 500 to 600 crores, and let me remind you again: this is being said to be the biggest film of Ranbir Kapoor's career, and this film will be released in three parts.

Reports have said that the first part of the film will be limited to the abduction of Sita, whereas the war between Ram and Ravana will be shown in the third segment.

So what do you expect from this film? Tell me in the comments.
