Invented Marvel Characters: Beton

Growing up my dream job was to be a comic book artist/writer. But with very little artistic talent that dream died pretty quickly. Now I do my best to bring my characters to life using apps like factory of heroes, swordmaker, armormaker and you doodle. They don't always turn out looking very good but I get more excited about the concepts and stories behind the characters than how well I can make the character look good. Sometimes my characters are from cultures I am not a part of because I think it fits their story or other aspects about them. I am not a cultural expert but at the very least I hope no one is upset by me using aspects of cultures I'm not a part of and find interesting. That said below is my idea for Beton a characters I envision as marvel villain who most often fights The Punisher.

In an effort to make the ultimate enforcer for the Serbian mob, Beton's parents were paired up due to their large stature in order to conceive him. Trained at a young age and experimented on during adolescence Beton grew to become a monster. At 7 foot 8 and with superhuman strength Beton became the threat that his handlers envisioned. However, he was left with a significant weakness. The bones that hold up his massive size are now somewhat similar to concrete in that they can support immense weight but are more prone to chipping and snapping from sudden blows. Thus he was given the name Beton (the Serbian word for concrete) as a putdown by the mob to draw attention to his flaws.

Despite this weakness he is still a very powerful man who keeps a low enough profile to largely avoid most superheroes as the Serbian mob's hitman and enforcer. He most often clashes with The Punisher who is on a mission to take down organized crime wherever he finds it.

Although he wears mostly plainclothes, Beton wears a black mask and gloves specifically during assassination attempts. And when he is anticipating combat he wear supportive sleeves on his shins, thighs and forearms to protect most of his long-bones.

Despite his super strength he shows an abundance of caution in unarmed combat. When possible he uses stealth to get as close as possible to his enemies. Avoiding jumps that would damage his bones, he uses his great strength to silently climb and creep in an almost snakelike manner. Once he closes the distance he avoids striking or blocking (again to protect his bones) and relies on throws, grapples and holds to incapacitate or more often kill his enemies.

Beyond his unique style of hand to hand combat he has developed many other skills through his training by the Serbian mob. He is proficient with all forms of firearms, an expert knife fighter and knowledgeable in creating, disarming and implementing explosives. Although he prefers more confrontational means of killing he also has a strong aptitude for creating and administering poisons. However it is not always practical due to his size making him highly memorable in any setting wear he would be trying to poison someone discreetly. For transport he utilizes a motorcycle that has been specifically designed for his height. His bike may seem impractical when considering how a crash could greatly injure him but he rides expertly and time on his bike is one of the few things in life he actually enjoys. Beton has very little in any real type of education he has truly been indoctrinated as a weapon for the mob and it is unclear if he will ever learn to question them.
