Greenleaf fans want to know what's going on

The fourth season of Greenleaf ended on Tuesday night, November 11, and as of right now, there has been no confirmation that a fifth season is coming. Viewers were left with several cliffhangers and desire to obtain answers. The main question on everyone's minds is regarding the A.J. doppelganger. Initially I thought this was Grace's son in spirit form until I watched the episode a few more times. Pastor Greenleaf called the young man by her son's name but quickly realized he was not A.J. This is why she asked how he got on the property and then told him how to get back on the road.

This does not, however, explain who this person was. Why was he walking on the Greenleaf property, why did he resemble A.J. and how did he know so much about the family? He knew Grace and her sister Faith by name, but he did not seem like an angelic messenger. He was dressed in black and had a cryptic look about him. Many viewers have expressed on various Facebook groups how they felt uncomfortable watching the exchange between G.G. and her son's look alike.

This scene gave a lot of people the chills, especially when the young man said everything has an expiration date. This dark messenger came while Grace was praying, but his aura was ominous, as if he were from the demonic realm, instead of a heavenly messenger. A.J. told his sister that he was going for a walk and she could not go with him. This would indicate that he is somewhere on the property but where?

A.J.'s lookalike

There are a lot of theories floating around about the unidentified young man. Some think he is the real A.J. and the other young man his cellmate in prison. Others believe Grace had twins and the two young men are brothers. A.J. had told his mother that by the next day she would not have to worry about anything, which have some believing he may have taken his own life to avoid going to jail. Others suggest that he was ill and dying and this is why he took the prescription medications. Unless something is leaked, Geenleaf devotees will have to play it by ear and wait until next year.

Netflix fans are praising the fourth season finale of Greenleaf and longing for more. The program had declining ratings but is still one of the most watched shows on the OWN network. Nothing official has been said regarding a fifth season, but loyal fans are certain their favorite characters will be back in 2020. There is the issue with the way the Greenleaf family obtained their property. Some viewers believe that if anything shady was done, it was probably uncle Mac and not the Bishop or Lady Mae. Charity had her heart broken by Phil, who is going to marry Bob's daughter. There is always the possibility that Charity could be pregnant from her one night with the man she loves and this would complicate things.

Grace's daughter seems to be taking walk on the wild side and will surely end up in some situation she did not imagine. Phil has said he is going to raze the church building Lady Mae was clearly distressed. Jacob kicked Karissa out because she cheated and gave him a sexually transmitted disease. There are simply two many loose ends for Greenleaf to leave the loyal viewers hanging, so here's to hoping that season 5 is in the works.
