Google Chat is now available in the early sample for personal Google Accounts on Android and desktop. When you turn on Google Chat in Gmail settings, you can test the experience and features and you can switch back to classic Hangouts in Gmail settings any time. 4. Also, you can sign in to Google Chat to send and receive messages through go to Google Chat or your Gmail account and you can install the Chat standalone app.

If you want to send a message to a person:

1. First, you need to go to Google Chat or your Gmail account.

2. Then on the left, under “Chat,” select the name of the person which you want to message.

3. If you are not able to find their name then click Start a chat.

4. Now enter a name or email address.

5. Suggestions appear as you enter text.

6. If you’re logged into a work or school account, and also want to send a direct message to someone outside of your organisation then enter their email address.

7. And select the person you want to message.

8. Then enter a message. And click send.

For Sending a message to a group

1. You can go to Google Chat or your Gmail account.

2. Now on the left, under "Chat," click a group name.

3. Enter a message and click send

4. If the group isn’t under "Chat," click Start a chat and Start group conversation. Now you can enter a name or email address and suggestions appear as you enter text.

5. Click done and write a message and send

For sending feedback in Chat

Go to Google Chat and are in chat where you are facing a problem. At the top right, click support and send feedback to Google. If a screenshot would help explain your feedback to our support team, then leave the box next to “Include screenshot” and check. If you don’t want to include a screenshot, uncheck the box. You can click the screenshot to edit or hide info which is optional. Now draw with yellow to highlight issues and now click done. Now enter your comments in the box and click Send.
