'General Hospital' viewers fast forward through Sonny and Nina scenes

Social media this week has been pretty revealing related to Sonny and Nina on GENERAL HOSPITAL. Let me emphasize that this is not a reflection on Maurice Bernard and Cynthia Wartros but fans observing the disconnect between the writers, actors and the viewers. Bernard says he is enjoying portraying Mike as it helps him stretch as an actor. He also stated that he is glad to see Jason with Britt because it gives Steve Burton a chance to do something new.

Those who are paret of the cast learn the lines they are given and must role with the punches whether they like it or not. It's understandable that Bernard and others who are on the ABC soap would look forward to doing something that is outside of their character's usual routine and is not predictable. GENERLA HOSPITAL viewers, however, do not see things the same way and they overwhelmingly are not liking Mike with Nina. The major reason given is because any relationship between these two would be based on a lie.

Jason and Britt are falling in love because of their being on the run together and they each know who the other is. At some point Sonny will regain his memory and Nina will be in big trouble. Viewers do not like all the decption, especially since it is taking place in Nixon Falls. Again this is no reflection on the actors Dan White, (Elijah) Joyce Guy,(Phyllis) or Riff Hutton,(Lenny). This is about the storyline so please do not disprespect the cast members who are only doing what the script calls for.

Those who watch GENERAL HOSPITAL do not enjoy watching so much action that takes place outside of Port Charles. Some have said they find this storyline a distraction. There are also fans who say they don't want to become invested in the new characters because they will probably disappear once Mike recalls that he is Sonny. The root of the issue for those who say they fast forward through scenes with Mike and Nina seems to be Ms. Reeves.

Nina is supposed to be running a media empire but has walked away from her job for about 2 months. Sure she has other employees and she can work online but this is pretty irresponsible. Nina supposedly wants to get to know her grandson Wiley and yet here she is deceiving his paternal grandfather. GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers do not see a good ending for this situation and so some are ignoring the scenes that show Nina and Mike getting closer.

No one knows for certain where the relatiosnhip with Britt and Jason is headed so there is a natural curiosity to watch what happens next with them. The majority of those who say they want the action out of Nixon Falls say they know that eventually Sonny will return to Carly. Earlier storylines had tease that Mrs. Corinthos might end up in bed with Jax or Jason, but they were wrong.

Jasper is furious that his daughter's mother is taking Sonny's place as the head of the mob so there will be no bonding for the former spouses.Viewers are thankful that the writers did not take Jason and Carly down that dark path and prefer his being on the run with Britt. Nina and Mike are simply wrong, wrong, wrong, in the eyes of a lot of fans and thats why they fast forward through their scenes.

GENERAL HOSPITAL fans do not like the perosn Nina has become, especially when she knows that what she is doing will hurt so many people. If Mike does fall for her there is no way he will remain with Ms. Reeves once his memory returns. Viewers understand that the actors enjoy being challenged and Maurice Bernard has been playing Sonny for 26 years. There has got to be a better way, however, to give the cast members meatier scenes than situations such as what is currenly taking place.

Some GENERAL HOSPITAL fans have said they hope Sonny will reward Lenny and Phyllis and bring them back to Port Charles. The jury is still out on Elijah because it looks as if he is a villian. Be on the lookout for spoilers and updates that may give a hint as to when this storyline will come to an end.
