Parry Shen

Parry Shen portrays Brad Cooper on GENERAL HOSPITAL and was sent to Pentonville prison in March of 2020. He ended up in the hospital in February of this year when Cyrus Renault’s men attacked him. Brad was in GH long enough to see that Lucas might be moving on with Felix and then back to jail he went. Brad is a complicated man and has a long list of indescredsions but he’s just a chip off the old block.

After all his father was the infamous Kim Wu, (Steven Leigh) who once was a crime boss in Port Charles. Brad changed his name so no one would make the connection to his dad. Wu/Cooper is not his father’s son when it comes to standing up to his enemies because both Sonny and Julian had Brad frightened like a scared rabbit. Even so, he has been involved in some pretty crazy storylines and he is missed by his fans. You can refresh yourself on all things Brad by clicking on the following link.

I had actually forgotten some of the mischief that Brad was responsible for in Port Charles until I read the Soap Hub article. In spite of his past misdeeds many fans of the ABC soap believe it’s time he is given a get out of jail free card and there is no better time than right now. GENERAL HOSPITAL is pretty exciting these days and there are so many storylines playing out at once that viewers need a scorecard to keep track. There has also been a lot of comings and goings at Pentonville Prison.

Alexis is just settling into prison life after being attacked by someone on Cyruses payroll and now she is being protected and her assignment changed from scrubbing floors to working in the library. Ms. Davis now has run into her old flame Shawn Butler whose “nephew” TJ who is really his son is dating Alexis daughter Molly. Spoilers say TJ will soon pay his dad a visit so Pentonville is the place to be right now. Jason Morgan was in the prison and visited by Sam and Carly. Jason was later stabbed by Shawn then was placed in the hospital. He now is on the run with Britt Westbourne who seems to have forgotten her old pal Brad.

Mon boss Kim Wu is Brad’s father.

Alexis now wants to help Shawn prove his innocence prior to his going up for parole. It is it interesting how Mr. Butler has library privileges and ttalking about being set free as if he did not stab a man? Shouldn’t he be in solitary confinement with some time added to his sentence? Nikolas Cassadine paid his aunt a visit last week to announce that he is now the proud owner of Pentonville and GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers are wondering what this will mean in the long haul..

In the midst of all the excitement no one has even mentioned Brad Cooper whose enmities are either dead or otherwise occupied. Julian Jerome is deceased, Sonny is presumed to be deceased but is living in Nixon Falls and has amnesia. Liesel Obrecht is falling in love with Scotty Baldwin and Carly Corinthos is busy being a mob queen. Michael showed compassion during the holidays when he invited Lucas to spend time with Wiley. Nelle is dead so Brad can breath a sigh of relief.

Brad and Britt

Let’s hope the GENERAL HOSPITAL writers will not forget the talented Parry Shen and will give him his get out of jail card. Wiley is being loved and cared for by Willow and Michael so they might have a bit of forgiveness in their hearts for the man who turned their lives upside down. Perhaps the next Pentonville reunion could be Alexis finding Brad in the library and deciding to help him. What do you think GH fans? Should Brad trade in his orange jump suit for his lab coat or at least some street clothes? Frank Valentini are you listening?
