General Hospital: Family Matters

The daughters of Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) have unique connections to the residents of Port Charles on General Hospital. Her firstborn Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) was sired by the late mob boss Julian Jerome (William deVry). Her second daughter Kristina Corinthos Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) has gangster Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard for a dad and the father of her youngest Molly Lansing Davis (Haley Pullos) is crooked lawyer Rick Lansing (Rick Hearst) who is Sonny's half-brother. This makes Molly and Kristina cousins as well as sisters.

To further complicate things Sam's aunt Ava Jerome (Maura West) has a young daughter Avery Jerome Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) with Sonny which makes the child Sam's cousin on the Jerome side, Molly's cousin on Sonny's side, and Kristina's half-sister. Sam is also half-sister to Leo Falconeri because Julian Jerome was his dad and she is dating Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zmapranga) who is Leo's half brother because they share Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine ( Lisa LoCicero) as a mother.

Should Dante and Sam marry he will be Kristina's brother in law and her half-brother and Molly's brother-in-law and cousin. Sam is cousins with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Columbo) who is married to her aunt Ava making the prince technically her uncle through marriage. Nik's son Spencer Cassadine's (Nicholsa Chaves) mother was Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis) who was Sonny's half-sister.

Alexis and Nikolas are cousins so the daughters of Alexis are related to both Nikolas and Courtney. This is a good place to stop because the family tree could go on for a while. You would think that with all of these connections that Molly and Kristina would have a strong presence in Port Charles and always be involved with one family matter or another but only Sam is on screen on a regular basis.

General Hospital: Molly and Kristina are by the wayside

Molly is a domestic partner to TJ Ashford (Taj Bellow) but lately he has been in scenes without her. he has been shown working at the hospital and also being bothered by Marcus (Robert Gossett) who says he is the father of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). Kristina was managing Charlie's pub for Ava but was rarely shown there. Sonny has purchased the establishment and his friend Phyllis Caulfield is the manager but nothing has been said about his daughter's job. Kristina and Molly are sitting on the sidelines when the writers should come up with scenarios to keep them front and center.

Most of the time when these siblings are together it is during some sort of intervention for Alexis. This family is so dysfunctional that the 3 daughters are always trying to save their mother. Alexis goes from one crisis to another and if not for her children she might be in big trouble.

General Hospital: Molly and Kristina need storylines

The last time Molly was in a storyline it was short and sweet and when she was trying to prove that a judge was racist. The situation was over before most GH viewers even knew what was going on. Kristina has been trying to find her way for a while since coming out as bi-sexual. She was last in a front-burner storyline when she was a member of the Dawn of Day cult.

These young women should have been on hand in a big way to greet Sonny when he returned to Port Charles. Thus far Kristina has only spent moments with her dad and Molly has not visited with her uncle at all. Be on the lookout for updates related to the fate of the two younger daughters of Alexis Davis.
