General Hospital leaves viewers hanging

General Hospital has made a habit in recent years of leaving fans hanging regarding storylines that are never revisited. Hayden Barnes (Rebeca Budig) left Port Charles and is out there somewhere and her family never received closure. Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) left town but has not reported back on whether or not she found her son Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons). A deceased Julian Jerome (William deVry) has a little boy with Kim Nero ( Tamera Braun) in New York who was never explained and now GH viewers are wondering what is going on with one particular situaiton with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy.)

GH fans will recall that Victor has not yet reacted to the poison that was put in his drink on the day Holly decided to fake being burned. She gave Selina Wu (Lydia Look) one of the ice princess diamonds in exchange for a vial that Wu put in Victor's drink. Holly left town to look for her son Ethan but Victor has not missed a beat and fans want to know why. Those who watch General Hospital saw him drink from the glass the poison was in but no harm came to Uncle VIc and he is continuing to terrorize Port Charles residents.

Victor Cassadine has been busy

Victor had been threatening Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and manipulating Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chaves). He kidnapped Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), framed Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for Lucy's "murder." and kept Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart)and Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie Mcclain)apart for months. Victor had at one point been trying to control the weather and that storyline was abruptly dropped last February when Shaughnessy had hip surgery.

Victor claims to be responsible for the death of Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and General Hospital fans suspect he is the reason Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Martin Grey (Michael E Knight ) had to go into hiding. He is blackmailing Deputy Mayor Ashby (Helen Mazur) and nothing has been resolved where he is concerned. Viewers love Shaughnessy in the role of the Cassadine heir and say he is brilliant but they don't like how none of his crimes have been solved.

What was in the vial?

GH viewers are especially curious as to what was in the vial that Holly gave Selina and wonder what the ingredients were supposed to do. Certainly, by now the ingredients of the vile are long out of Victor's system so what was the point? Wu got her hands on a valuable diamond and Holly made it far away from Port Charles but nothing happened to to "Heir Cassadine." Spoilers have teased that Leisl Obrecht (Kathlene Gati) might turn to Victor now that they both have children who have passed away and leave Scott Baldwin behind in an attempt to make Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) pay for killing Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Last week Victor even mentioned that he and Obrecht were sharing the same tragedy. General Hospital fans are hoping that this will not happen as they enjoy "Sceisl "as a couple. There are so many loose ends where VIctor is concerned and viewers are hoping that some of them will soon be cleared up. Those who watch the soap understand that his reign will eventually come to an end but do not desire to see Shaughnessy leave the ABC series.

Perhaps the writers could keep Uncle VIc around for a bit longer than planned and have at least one or two of his secrets exposed. While those who watch General Hospital are watching and waiting it would be nice if at least the mystery of the content of the vial would be dealt with.
