There was a lot of hype and promotion for the Friday May 21 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL that did not pan out and some fans are angry. Perhaps there might be a continuation next week but based on spoilers this was a one-time deal. As for the action that took place on Friday it did not live up to expectations and viewers are voicing their displeasure. Fans were glad to see Kimberly McCullough teturn as Robin and Kristina Wagoner as Felicia. Along with Robert, Anna, and Mac they met Sean Donnelly's daughter Annie in Ireland. Unfortunately neither Felicia nor Robin had a significant role if they indeed only returned for the one episode.

There was no sign of Kevin Collins, who spoilers said would accompany his wife Laura, but Monica Quartermaine who was not named as one of the Port Charles residents going to Ireland was in the midst of the goings on. A voice on the telephone was alleged to be Tiffany who had gone to spread Sean's ashes in a local town. Some GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers thought that Sharon Wyatt might show up for the tribute but she did not.

Spoilers said there would be a special surprise guest on Friday but there was none unless Sharon Wyatt's voice on the phone was the alleged surprise. Robert, Anna, Mac, Felicia, Monica, and Robin were all in on a secret. The mystery was that the gang tricked Annie into thinking that one of her father's enemies was trying to hurt them all. Annie found clues that seemed to point to Robert and Anna being involved in some type of conspiracy but it was all a hoax.

The Port Charles spies kept trying to get Sean’s daughter to give them access to her fathers secret files but she would not. Annie found out she was being tested and that she passed. Sean’s daughter had applied to be a member of the WSB and now that she passed the test she was in. Annie is now a full fledged WSB member and even has her father’s number on her badge. GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers were expecting a real spy adventure and not this pretend mystery.

Fans were disappointed that their expectations were not met on so many levels. The lack of a true crime as well as no mystery guest was a let down. Robin and Felicia both seemed somewhat out of the loop with the other Port Charles residents and the episode just an an uncomfortable element to it. Jackie Zeman returned as Bobbie Spencer as promised but she was not in Ireland. She was instead agreeing to help deliver Maxie’s baby.

Annie Donnelly,(Caitlin Reilly), flowed in her role and some viewers wonder if the Tic/Toc star will remain on the ABC soap for a while longer. Many who were watching were expecting so much more and wondering why news reports and spoilers were so misleading.

There is not mention of any of the Ireland group in spoilers for the next week. The focus will be on Cyrus finding out that Brando is the father of Dasha’s cbaby and Carly making her peower plays. Maxie and Bobbie will be working to outsmart Peter and Roger Howarth is supposed to return. Nothing is mentioned of Ireland, Robert, Anna, Mac, Felicia, Monica or Annie. Spoilers do indicate that Laura wil still be trying to find ways to contain her half brother.

For all of the promotion and build up for this past Friday’s episode most GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers feel it was not a worthy tribute and a total waste of time.Gans were led to expect a fitting goodbye to a former cast member but instead what they got seemed rushed and not very well planned out. Be on the lookout for updates and breaking news for the coming weeks I’m Port Charles and let’s hope they are more accurate than the information related to last Friday.
