There will be quite a bit of coming and going in Port Charles this month as GENERAL HOSPITAL is keeping things moving along for May Sweeps. Spoilers have just revealed that there is news regarding Roger Howarth as well as James Patrick Stuart regarding their presence on the ABC soap and a new female heroine will join the cast as well. Before we get to those details let's recap what has already been reported for this month.

John Reilly's daughter Caitlin is going to portray his onscreen daughter Anne and become involved in a mystery during the tribute episode for Sean Donely on Friday, May 21. It was also recently announced that Jackie Zeman (Bobbie) and Kristina Wagoner, (Felicia) are supposed to be on hand to say farewell to Sean. Kimberly McCullough, (Robin) teased her Instagram followers with a message that suggests she might come out of retirement and make an appearance in Port Charles.

Cameron Mattheson will soon join the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL but it's not known who he will portray or if it will be during the month of May. A mysterious Vince Novak is going to show up in Port Charles seeking help from Damian Spinelli. There was a Mr. Novak at the meeting of the five families but it's not known if this is the same character. Viewers only got a side view of this man but he was older and definitely not Matheson.

What has been reported as definite is that Roger Howarth will return to the ABC daytime drama sometime during the last week of May. There is no news regarding who he will be playing but fans have been guessing it might be Drew Cain returned from the dead. In addition to Howarth, there is news about James Patrick Stuart who portrays Valentin Cassadine who has signed on to star in the Disney Channel's new half-hour live-action comedy pilot Amy from Amarillo (This is a working title).

The series will focus on a family of supervillains who hide out in Amarillo, Texas, to prevent being liquidated because of problems with the League of Villains. This sounds exciting and fans are wishing Stuart all the best. For those who fear that this indicates Valentin will be leaving Port Charles, be advised that Stuart will only be moonlighting. He has no plans at least for now to walk away from GENERAL HOSPITAL.

Vanna fans will be excited because they are waiting to see if Valentin and Anna finally admit their feelings for one another. Spoilers have been teasing that the duo will soon become more than friends but so far this has not happened. Roger Howarth fans will be thrilled just to see him back in action so be on the lookout for updates. Soaps in Depth and several other news outlets have reported that GUIDING LIGHT soap vet Kimberly Brown is joining the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL this week. She reportedly will be a "female heroine" but it's not known who she will interact with while in Port Charles or how long she will stay.

Brown's character could be involved with Jason and Britt who are on the run, or show up in Nixon Falls as well as Port Charles. Breaking news, spoilers, and rumors related to these and other May storylines on GENERAL HOSPITAL are sure to come so be watching for them. There has been no news yet regarding the annual Nurses Ball and viewers are wanting to find out if the gala is still a go, so stay tuned.
