On Monday's episode of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, it looks like Victor is moving closer to getting everything that he desires. On Friday he was waiting in the penthouse for Chelsea when she arrived with Chole, courtesy of a key given to him by Adam. He startled the women and told Ms. Lawson that she must confess to poisoning Rey and framing Adam. He said that if she did not he would make sure that she lost custody of her son and Chelsea became frightened.

After Victor left Chelsea began panicking because she could not reach Conner at school earlier and thought Victor had abducted him. On Monday she went to the ranch to confront her father in law and Victor noted that Ms. Lawson was nervous. He told her he was pleased that she had taken his threat seriously but said he would never do anything to harm his grandson.

Meanwhile, Rey emphasized to Adam that he would arrest him as soon as the transplant was complete. Adam replied that he would not expect anything less. Sharon later tries to explain to her husband that she had told Adam from the beginning to turn himself in but he ran. As Nick is talking to Phyllis, she is gleeful that the hospital is full of police and she hopes Adam is taken away in handcuffs. It seems everyone is resigned to the fact that Rey will take Adam into custody, but they don't realize Victor has set some things in motion so that his son will remain free.

Chelsea, argued that she would lose Conner no matter what she did and Victor said he could arrange it so that they all would win. He told his daughter in law that if she did not confess he would talk to Chloe and the truth will come out. The Newman patriarch said the choice was Chelsea's regarding whether the truth was revealed with the two of them are enemies or allies. Chelsea says she will not confess and Victor adds that time will tell. He says he wants to truth to come out and she must come clean.

Victor insinuating that Chloe will tell the truth so that she does not go to prison and lose her children. The rest of their conversation was in private because when they are next shown, Victor has called Rey and asked him to come immediately to the Ranch because there has been a development with Chelsea. Spoilers for Tuesday indicate that Chelsea will fake a breakdown and blame her actions on the stroke.

It's not clear if Rey is going to believe any of this but Victor is certain his plan will work. Adam will be free and Chelsea will get the emotional help she needs. A promo for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS shows Chelsea saying she is so sorry and this could be an apology to Rey. Spoilers say detective Rosales will find out some interesting details next week but do not indicate what they are related to. Fans of Y&R have been waiting for all of this to come to a head and now it seems closer than ever.

There may be some twists and turns along the way but eventually, all the facts will be made known. Once Adam has been exonerated Rey will have to take a good long look at his marriage and decide if he wants to remain with Sharon. He might not be able to handle the fact that Victor was right all along. Adam has saved Faith twice in one month and will soon be cleared of trying to poison the detective. Victor Newman will be well pleased even if no one else is.
