Ashton Arbab has a new project

Former General Hospital cast member Ashton Arbab is starring in a new film he co-wrote and co-directed with Michael Moroso titled Off My Shoulders. On Instagram he said the folllowing.

“Can’t put into words how proud of everyone I am from the crew to the cast to all of the people involved in making this vision come to life,” Arbab shared on Instagram with a series of behind-the-scenes photos and videos. “It has been a dream of mine to write a screenplay, put it on paper, gather a group of people who all believe in the project, and finally shoot it.

Arbab as Dev

On GH, Arbab portrayed Dev Cerci, a homeless teen whom Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) befriended in Turkey and brought to Port Charles. Dev fell for Sonny's stepdaughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and later faked diary entries so that Cameron Webber (Will Lipton) would believe Joss did not enjoy their first kiss.

Dev later died from injuries when The Floating Rib blew up. Many fans were troubled that the writers had the character make such a wrong move to deceive Cam and then lost his life. Dev had such promise but Arbab has continued to work and is excited about his new film. He also had this to ay about his new project.

“Through a lot of rewrites and a lot of late nights, couldn’t have asked for a better dancing partner in this endeavor than my brother Michael Moroso,” he continued. “And to my longtime friend Jack Serkin for capturing this project with what myself and Michael had envisioned through the three months of writing and preproduction, thank you so much.”
