'General Hospital' airs a rerun on May 31 but the action picks up on June 1

On Monday, May 31, GENERAL HOSPITAL will air a rerun episode. On Tuesday, viewers worst nightmare continues as Peter August and Cyrus Renault continue to rule most of Port Charles. At this writing, Cyrus is holding Spinelli captive but Carly could save him by the end of Thursday or Friday's episodes. Peter is bleeding at the bottom of a stairwell at GH and spoilers suggest the mystery will not be solved until Tuesday. Meanwhile. let's take a look at all of the Port Charles residents who are suffering because of these two men.

Gladys is fighting for her life because of a gunshot wound courtesy of the teamwork of Cyrus and Peter. She and Brando almost lost their lives because August was tailing Sasha and now Renault realizes that Brando is the father of Ms. Gilmore's unborn baby. Laura is on edge because her half brother is responsible for Lulu being in the long-term care facility. She now has to worry that he will retaliate against Nikolas who is trying to fight Cyrus every step of the way.

Veiled threats were made against Avery and Spencer and now Ava wants to work with Carly to take Renaut down. Cyrus is furious that Carly has a seat at the table with the five families and he is unable to figure out where Jason and Britt are hiding. He correctly assumes they are in Canada but so far they have alluded him. In addition to running from Renault, Jason was framed for the murder of Franco by Peter August and Cyrus paid Gladys off the lie that she saw Jason throw away the gun.

Maxie is now at the mercy of crazy fake nurse Chloe and about to give birth in an undisclosed location thanks to her crazy fiancee. Chase is still suffering from the effects of the poison that Peter put in the coffee that was meant for Finn. Anna is frantic to find a cure so that the detective won't die. Finn and Anna broke up over the secrets she was hiding in regard to Peter and her relationship with Felicia has been damaged for the same reason. Mac and Felicia are not fully in the loop but the chief detective at the GCPD wants both Cyrus and Peter prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Curtis and Jordan's relationship is over because of Peter, while Trina was angry at her dad, the police commissioner, and Curtis all because of the manipulation of Cyrus who also had TJ beaten up. Ava;s brother Julian is dead in part because of being blackmailed by Cyrus which led to Sonny being on the bridge, falling in, and now having amnesia. Cam was furious with Jason and almost shot him because he thought he killed Franco. Now that everyone knows Peter is guilty they want him arrested. The trouble is no one seems to be able to stop this mad man or Cyrus.

Scott and Obrecht are hurting over the death of Franco and both want Peter to pay. They also feel some kind of way about Cyrus because he is the reason Britt is on the run with Jason. Martin might be the only person in Port Charles who has even a small amount of sympathy for his older sibling and even their mother wants nothing to do with him. Spoilers reveal that next week the saga of Cyrus and Peter will continue. Nothing has been revealed as to when one or both of them will get what is coming.

Some GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers are saying they hope Peter bleeds out at the bottom of the stairs but that probably will not happen. There are rumors that Roger Howarth's new character might be the one who pushed the dastardly Mr. August down the steps but viewers won't know for certain until the mystery is resolved. Maxie and her baby are in peril, while Chase continues to need an antidote. Jason and Britta as well as Sasha and Brando will be unable to fully commit to each other as long as Cyrus and Peter are on the loose.

Port Charles is turning into a battle zone again and the mayor is trying desperately to bring her big brother to justice but when will it ever happen? Gladys might be too afraid to snitch on Renault if she survives the surgery and Brando may not testify that Cyrus kidnapped his mom and is responsible for the shooting. Meanwhile, Sasha and her baby are at risk because Renault could cause a miscarriage to seek vengeance that the child is not his. Something needs to give regarding Peter and Cyrus but what will it be and when? Stay tuned to find out.
