GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers who suspected that Sophia Mattsen might be expecting a baby in real- time were correct. When her character Sasha Gilmore found out she was having a child from a one-night stand with Brando Corbin some fans were suspicious. The actress is private and had not mentioned her personal situation but now according to reports, Sophia admits that she is ready to pop. This indicates that she hid her growing belly for quite a while and that is her right.

Everyone is different as in the case of actress Jaqueline Macinnes Wood who portrays Steffy Forrester on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Wood shared every bit of her last pregnancy with her online followers, including photos where she was not wearing any clothes. Mattsson is to be congratulated for following her own mind and doing things her way. There was a time when women were told not to announce pregnancies publically until after the first trimester, because of the risk of early miscarriage. There was a time when maternity clothing covered and practically hid a pregnant woman's stomach. While Jackie Woods decided to display her naked belly, Sophia Mattesson's pictures have her covered up.

On GENERAL HOSPITAL Gladys Corbin just announced to Brando and Sasha that she will be moving in with her son. She added that she wants to be a hands on grandmother. Glayds previously made no secret that she did not like "that Sasha person" so this turn around in attitude has viewers suspicious. Brasha is breathing a sigh of relief because Cyrus Renault is in police custody but they may have a bigger problem on their hands with Gladys.

A nosy, nit-picking, self absorbed grandmother can pack a far worse a punch than a drug Lord, so Brasha needs to be on guard. GENERAL HOSPITAL fans believe that Gladys is only pretending to accept Sasha and desires to drive a wedge between "her boy" and the fashion model. She may indeed love her son and her grandchild but how she really feels about Sahsa remains to be seen. It's possible that her being shot and almost dying may have made a difference in her opinion but most fans believe Gladys has not changed.

Her true nature will be revealed and as viewers watch her plan unfold, Brando and Sasha may initially have no clue. Some GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers are suspecting that Brasha might have an unconventional relationship as a few weeks back Sasha announced to Cyrus that only she was responsible for her baby and this was not the 50’s. As time goes on, however, Ms. Gilmore might change her mind and even consider moving in with or marrying Brando. This is probably when the true nature of Gladys will be revealed.

Sophia Mattsson was born on June 24 1991 and has been married for 6 years to Thomas Peyton. The actress hails from Sweden and prior to GENERAL HOSPITAL was known for her role as Jessica on NCIS and the films BEING BOND and GOTHIC HARVEST. Her sister Hellen Mattsson is also an actress who had roles in FRAGO and IRON MAN. In addition to keeping her pregnancy quiet for so long there is very little public information known about Mattsson which proves that not every entertainer believes their personal lives are owed to the public.

Best of luck to Sophia and Tom. Fans will be awaiting the news of the baby's birth, gender, and name when they decide to reveal it. GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers will also be waiting to find out how Matteson's exit from the CBS soap will be explained and what will happen to her character in Port Charles duing her maternity leave.
