The Great War arrived, and "Winter" fell in Winterfell.

As expected, it was non-stop action in the latest episode of Game of Thrones, “The Long Night,” as the much-anticipated Battle of Winterfell between the living and the dead took place in ernest.

At 82 minutes, the third episode of the HBO fantasy epic’s final season is the longest episode ever in its history. Although it contained arguably the least amount of dialogue in a single show, the episode still managed to churn out a good dozen memorable lines amidst the fiery and brutal battle, which was a mixed bag of suspense, horror, and melodrama.

(SPOILERS AHEAD if you have yet to see the episode…)

From Sansa Stark and Tyrion Lannister’s heartfelt chats in the crypts of Winterfell, to Melisandre and Arya Stark’s throwbacks to conversations from seasons past, here are 12 of the most memorable quotes from Games of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3, “The Long Night.”
