Five Shocking NETFLIX Watches That Are Not To Be Missed
Well, four out of five ain't bad.
Netflix remains one of the most popular running stremaing services this is, and for whatever reason, isn't going anywhere. So, why not see what's good on Netflix. Here are five surprises on Netflix, right now!
1. War Machine: Alan Ritchson
We all saw Alan get into that scuffle on the streets near home, and might have felt one way or another about the massive, mountain of a man, putting it to his neighborhood bully. But, that's why the Reacher star has locked down that role with Amazon.
In War Machine, which saw Ritchson carrying some dramatic guilt, he's leading a new team of soldiers on a training operation as they come across something other worldly. Giant machines, not unlike the Terminator, but more powerful, are hunting him and his team while unknown to them, the world is at war.
It's a fun, popcorn kind of affair, that in the 1980s and 90s ruled the theaters during the summer block buster season.
2. The Rip
Two of Hollywood's heaviest hitters from the past come back together to deliver this intense and gritty drauma. The Rip, meaning rip off, centers around an elite team of tactical narcotics officers, a T.N.T. unit, and whether or not they're all crooked, none of them are, or are they a mixed bunch of dirty cops that are thrust together by fate and circumstances.
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, among an impressive number of other castmates, are the bad ass cops with all the bravado of the old Miami Vice feeling officers, while they possess none of the unrealistic style. After getting a tip, Damon and Affleck, who are embroiled in an investigation surrounding their division and the death of their trusted leader, take the team on mission to hit a stash house. When things go ugly, it's nearly impossible to tell who is and who isn't on the take, until the real culprits are revealed. Through tense seens, gun fights, cartels, and crooked officials, you need a playbook to know who's on what team.
3. The Fall of the House of Usher
When you assemble a cast, you want the effect this cast has on you. The Fall of the House of Usher is a brutally good time, that has that grab you, keep you on the edge of your seat, and holds you until the episodes end effect. Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, Henry Thomas, Mary McDonnel, and Kate Siegel all bring a ppowerful performance to the show.
The show centers on the Usher clan, the children of the filthy rich Roderick Usher, a CEO of a corrupt pharmaceutical company. As they all begin to die in mysterious and brutal ways, the creator takes you on a wild who dunnit that leaves you questioning things. This was a suprise hit, and highly recommendable.
4. MEGAN 2.0
Proof that at the intersection of AI, real life, and robots, exists something special, comes in the form of MEGAN 2.0. Megan 2.0 is the sequel to the thrilling drama, MEGAN, a story about an AI assisted companion for a young girl. The conflict exist because MEGAN takes her role as the protector of CADY a litte too literally, and can't correctly identify the difference between what's a threat and what's normal life.
In Megan 2.0, Gemma is back to work, and keenly aware that AI can be dangerous. As some strange occurrences start being noticed, and the mysteries of the past since MEGAN start to become apparent, they find the original operating system is alive, and desperate to find form. This time, MEGAN, is there to save the day. It's the rest of the world that's out to get them, and an a grand adventure begins.
This is just one of those movies that's a lot of fun, gives you a chance to see something cool, and watch as AI and humans learn to trust each other.
5. Thrash
In the realm of movies and entertainment, some things are made that leave you scratching your head. Look at the idea from a couple of years ago, when an alligator visited homes, during a flood.
Now, it's even worse, even bigger, and from the top of the food chain. The fact is, at least it isn't coming in riding on tornadoes. That's right, a shark attack, in living rooms, garages, bed rooms, the front drive way, the street, and oh yeah, all over the places.
The shocking thing about this, is that it was made and you're going to see some talented, once upon a time, in demand faces. But, hey, they're working. So, I suppose you can give it a watch and be supportive.
Thrash comes in last place, since the idea of using a hurricane to move problems into an area to make a movie work, or make it a twist, has been done so much. Yes, giant storm swells are going to be a problem. So, let's not chum the waters, and maybe leave town in the face of a hurricane.
The rest of the preceeding recommendations, which none have anything as painful as a baby being delivered during a shark infested flood, are all rewatchable and and a good time.
