Ed Sheeran to Guest Star In Season 7 of 'Game of Thrones'
Another Musical Guest To Add To The List Of Game Of Thrones Guest Stars.
With his new album "Divide" being a complete record breaker, #EdSheeran is set to become even bigger to the world as it has been announced that he will be making an appearance in the seventh season of #GameOfThrones.
The series showrunners, David Benioff and Dan Weiss, confirmed this news at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas over the weekend. The singer famous for his number one single "Shape of You" is reportedly a favourite of the Game of Thrones cast, and the crew of the show have been trying to get him to guest star for quite some time now. With his new album released and out the way, HBO have successfully been able to cast him for the upcoming season.
Previous season of Game of Thrones have featured other big music stars such as, Gary Lightbody from the band Snow Patrol, Will Champion from the famous Coldplay and of course Sigur Ros and Mastodon.
With Sheeran becoming the latest music star to appear in Game of Thrones, let's remember that this isn't his first acting part he's ever done. Ed has previously starred in The Bastard Executioner, which is a short-lived series by Kurt Sutter. It's currently being kept confidential as to what role Ed Sheeran will be playing. But it is likely to be revealed very soon.
Game of Thrones returns to our screens on July 16th 2017. So make sure the date is in your diary!
