Drew Cain return raises questions on 'General Hospital'

In September of 2019 on GENERAL HOSPITAL Kim Nero sleeps with Franco who has the memories of Drew Caine. On December 11, 2020, Julian Jerome locates Kim's New York City apartment tries to talk to her. Julian instead finds Kim's nanny and learns that Dr, Nero has an infant son named Andy which is short for Andrew. Kim obviously named the boy after the man her confused mind believes fathered him. Kin really believed that she was in bed with Andrew Cain and not Franco who was married to Liz Weber,

After Julian leaves, the nanny calls Dr. Nero at the hospital where she is working and tells her that Julian had come by and doesn't know Andy is his son. This threw off many GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers because the storyline seemed to imply that "Charlie" and Kim were not intimate. Shortly after leaving Kim's apartment, Julian is shot dead by Sonny which made the nanny's words confusing to some who were watching the show. Not one word has been said about this child since Julian Jerome's visit and viewers are wondering how he fits into the future of Port Charles life?

Franco who had Drew's memories is now dead but Cameron Mathison has been hired to portray Andrew Cain who obviously did not die when his plane went down. GENERAL HOSPITAL fans are trying to make sense of all of this but so far nothing seems logical about this situation. Will the return of Drew bring Kim back to Port Charles and how does this tie into the storyline with little Andy. Both Franco and Julian are now deceased and there is no way the baby could belong to the real Drew Cane.

Kim and Drew left Port Charles in June to spread the ashes of their son Oscar over Mt. Kilamanjaro but there was no indication that anything happened between them. GENERAL HOSPITAL could rewrite history as happened once on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Hope Brady was brainwashed to believe she was Princess Gina and was sleeping with John Black. When she became pregnant viewers were outraged. Sometime later things were changed when there was a flashback scene that indicated that Hope's husband Bo was being held captive in the same location.

Bo had been drugged but somehow they found each other and made love, calling one another by their pet names of Brady and Fancy Face. It was later revealed that the baby did belong to Bo. GENERAL HOSPITAL could suggest that Kim and Drew were intimate during their journey but kept it to themselves. This, however, would not explain Dr. Nero's obsession with getting pregnant because she first tried to seduce Drew prior to sleeping with Franco, It also would not account for the nanny saying the boy belonged to Julian unless this is what Kim wanted her to believe.

There is a method to the madness and GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers will have to wait to see how it all works out. There is a reason Billy Miller was fired and Drew was presumed dead only to be resurrected in the body of Cameron Mathison. There is a reason Julian was killed and Kim is saying her baby belongs to him. The bigger question is where has Drew been all of this time and who was behind his captivity. Will there be a new threat to Port Charles residents now that Cyrus and Peter are out of the way?

Peter August was always talking with someone on the phone and giving orders. That mystery person has never been revealed. Perhaps now some things may fall into place in this confusing situation. For those who don't know or perhaps have forgotten Jason Morgan's mother Susan gave birth to twins but Alan Quartermaine was only told he had one son. After Susan died Monica adopted Jason and raised him as her own.

Drew and Jason were identical but Helena Cassadine gave Andrew Cain plastic surgery. It was later revealed that Franco had been Drew's childhood friend. Drew's memories were placed in Franco's mind and Peter August had known Drew prior to his coming Port Charles and was afraid Franco with Srew's memories would expose his evil past. There is more but these are the basics.

Another question on the minds of GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers is regarding Drew and Sam. Kelly Monaco has gone on record as saying she preferred her character with Drew instead of Jason. This might have been because she was close friends with Billy Miller. Monaco may not like the fact thatMiller was axed and now the role is being recast. There are unsubstantiated rumblings that Monaco might be leaving the ABC soap and if true there would be no Dream reunion. The role of Sam was recast when Kelly was as out for a few weeks so this could happen again. Loyal GH fans need to keep their eyes and ears open regarding what happens next.
