With Littlefinger's long-awaited comeuppance at the hands of the Stark sisters, his hold over Sansa was finally severed and the status quo is back as the rightful heirs to the North can rule Winterfell without Lord Baelish's interference. However, it seems Sansa still has a long road ahead of her as the Lady of Winterfell, considering what we've learned about Jon Snow's actions over the last few episodes of Season 7.

With Jon Snow recently revealed to be a cousin to the remaining Stark children rather than their bastard brother, Sansa will soon have a lot to think about when it comes to her role in ruling the North. Sansa and Jon care for and have a deep respect for each other, but that could easily change after reading the letter Jon sent in "The Dragon and the Wolf". Although we never actually saw the scroll, HBO has released images of the prop used on screen.

Sansa and Jon's relationship has been strained throughout Season 7, and this scroll could be the act that breaks the bond between these two. Looking at what Jon wrote and how he said it, it's safe to assume that when the two reunite in Season 8, things won't be all rainbows and sprinkles - there's the potential of some major conflict to arise between the two Starks.

Sansa,

Cersei Lannister has pledged her forces to our cause, as has Daenerys Targaryen. And if we survive this war, I have pledged our forces to Daenerys as the rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. We are both coming to organize the defence of the realm.

Jon Snow. Warden of the North.

Why is this scroll so meaningful for season 8?

Well, considering that whole 'Cersei has pledged' thing is a bold-faced lie, it's easy to see why Sansa might have issue with Jon's command in Season 8. Unbeknownst to both Starks, Cersei now has other plans and this is bound to spell bad news on all fronts when Euron returns with the Golden Company.

With Jon's new title as 'Warden of the North', he makes it clear that the North is now under the control of Daenerys Targaryen - something that won't please the Northern lords. This distinction points to the fact that Jon has submitted to follow a Queen that Sansa has never met. So, it's safe to say that Jon's letter to Sansa means that everything is about to change for the Starks moving into Season 8.
