Could Victor die?

John Anniston has been portraying Victor Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives since 1985. He is ruthless and cruel but fiercely loyal to his family. Spoilers are now suggesting that the 88-year-old soap vet might retire based on two recent events that are connected to the NBC daytime drama. Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Weston) has been confirmed to remain on the show and portray Alex Kiriakis II and executive producer Ron Carvilati has revealed that a major Salemite will soon die.

Days fans have been curious as to why Wilson was going to play a character who really did not have any ties in Salem or a viable storyline. It has been speculated that Alex is going to fight for the right to run Titan because Victor might retire. Now that Carvilati has admitted that a prominent resident of Salem will meet his or her demise spoilers have projected a different scenario.

Alex has a purpose for returning to Salem

Please keep in mind that this is speculation only and has not been confirmed. Carvilati did not say which cast member of Days of Our Lives would die. Spoilers believe that the reason Wilson will portray Victor's nephew is that the Kiriakis patriarch is the one who will die. The popular actor might have decided that it's time to retire so his character is being killed off. Alex, Xander Kiriakis, (Paul Telfer), and possibly Phillip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) would be fighting to take the reigns of Titan industries.

This would cause a lot of drama in Salem and several riveting storylines could come from Victor's death especially if he is murdered. Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) would be devastated and does not desire to deal with the fallout from her husband's death. Relatives would probably come out of the woodwork in an attempt to get their hands on Victor's empire.

A will would be read and there probably would be a lot of surprises. Victor might even get back at some of his enemies after he is dead. Perhaps he might even leave everything to his widow or to Ben and Ciara Weston's (Victoria Konefal) baby Bo. Carvilati knows who is going to die and exactly why Alex is back in Salem but for now, he is remaining mum.

Momentum builds on Days of Our Lives

Carvilati knows what he is doing by not giving away too many details. This builds momentum and brings about wild speculation and fake news as fans begin to come up with their own scenarios regarding what is going on. It also causes viewers to tune in each weekday in order to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

When the character of Alex was last in Salem he did not have a love interest or make any lasting contacts. Alexander Neil Kiriahis II is the son of Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) and the late Angelica Devereaux (Judith Chapman). He was named after his grandfather and his stepfather Neil Curtis.

Adriene Kiriakis (Judy Evans) was his stepmom prior to her death and he has three sort of siblings. Joseph "Joey" Kiriakis, ( Benjamin Lorio) Jackson "Sonny" Kiriakis (Freddie Smith), and Victor Kiriakis II (last Jacob Lorio) are his paternal adopted half-brothers.

What if Alex returns for the purpose of killing his uncle and framing someone else for murder? The possibilities are endless so be on the lookout for updates and breaking news related to which lomg-time Salem resident will die. Keep watching for Days of Our Lives spoilers that reveal what will happen when Alexander Kiriakis shows up in Salem and how it affects Victor. and others.
