Days of Our Lives: Wedding shocker

Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) got married in Italy and when they return to Salem their announcement will wreck the holidays for their loved ones. Johnny's parents EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), and Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will go ballistic as will Chanel's mom Paulina Price (Jackée Harry).

Johnny and Chanel have only nown each other for a brief time and this will also be a concern for those who love them. Chanel was married briefly to Zander Kiriakis so naturally, Sami and Ej will consider her a gold digger. Spoilers tease that EJ and Sami will reunite during the holidays so their shared concern over Johnny will probably bring them closer. Paulina will simpy be stunned that her daughter made such a move and totally against this new union.

The marriage between Johnny and Chanel connects the main families of Salem but no one will be thinking about that upon hearing the news. The DiMera's, Brady's, Black's and Horton clans will now be connected to Paulina and if Abe Carver (James Reynolds) marries her he will have a new connection with his beloved friends.

Ally and Tripp will not see eye to eye

Ally Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) will look at the situation from very different perspectives. Ally and Chanel shared a kiss so there will be some jealousy involved Ally will be stunned that her brother made such a quick decision and she will have some choice words for him. Last week Ally told Lucas Roberts (Brian Datillo) that she believes her mother will come back to him so she will be dealing with two big blows during the holidays. She will be concerned about Chanel and Johnny's marriage a well as be devastated that Sami went back to EJ.

Tripp, on the other hand, will consider the wedding in Italy a bonus and will be secretly delighted that Johnny and Chanel tied the knot. He knows the two women shared a kiss and will be hoping that the marriage will prevent Ally from considering her feelings for Chanel. Tripp will consider this as a new beginning and hope Ally will devote her time and attention to him. Should Chanel and Ally declare they love each other down the road this will be a disaster and cause more hurt feelings than the wedding to Johnny.

Christmas chaos in Salem

The quicky marriage between Johnny and Chanel will stun other Salemites and give them something to focus on besides possessed Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) during the holiday season. Phillip Kirfiakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) just confessed to Kate Roberts ( Lauren Koslow) that he framed Brady for his murder. Spoilers say Lucas will soon find out that his brother is alive and will no doubt like his mother keep the secret at least for now.

Spoilers say Eric Brady (Greg Vaughn) will show up during the week leading up to the New Year and be ready to do battle to save his mother. There was supposed to be a Christmas miracle and if there is one Days of Our Lives is keeping it quiet. There also is no news on whether or not when all of this is over if Johnny will go ahead with his film or scrap it.

Days of Our Lives fans will also be wondering what Marlena's take is on her grandson's new marriage or will she even care? She is so focused on Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady's (Victoria Konefal) unborn child that she may not even care what Sami's son is up to. Be on the lookout for updates related to the fallout behind Johnny and Chanel's Italian wedding. Who knows it could be true love and they may live happily ever after for however long that is in soap land.
