Dave Coulier is a man of many talents

David Alan Coulier was born David Alan Couwlier to David Alan and Arlen Couwlier in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, on September 21, 1959. He is best known for his role as Joey Gladstone on the ABC series Full House. Coulier is an actor, television host, stand-up comedian, and impressionist. He has been steadily working since the popular sitcom went off the air and has shown his versatility.

In the 1980s when he was trying to get his career off the ground Coulier met fellow comic Bob Saget on the Los Angeles comedy circuit and ended up sleeping on his couch for a while. The two became fast friends just like their Full House characters Danny Tanner and Joey. From 1984 to 1985, Coulier became the host of a comedy series on Nickelodeon called Out of Control and in 1986 Dave was hired as part of the cast of Saturday Night Live. At the last minute, however, he was notified that he had been cut from the show.

The actor has done extensive voice-over work for animated shows including Slimer!, The Real Ghostbusters, The Dweebs, Scooby and Scrappy-Doo, Extreme Ghostbusters, Detention, Muppet Babies, Uncle Statler and Waldorf, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, and the Magical Flight of the Spruce Goose and Rude Dog. Dave also voiced Felix the Cat and was the host of Opportunity knocks and America's Funniest People.

He was also on Lois and Clark the new adventures of Superman and Burke's law among many other television appearances. In 2000, Coulier founded his own children's entertainment company, F3 Entertainment, and in 2003, he appeared on the third season of The Surreal Life. In 2006, he was on the Fox TV reality show Skating with Celebrities. Coulier once dated Canadian singer Alanis Morissette and has admitted that her song You Should Know is about him.

Art imitated life as on Full House Joey ended up living with Danny but he got more than a couch. Joseph Alvin "Joey" Gladstone and Danny Tanner, were childhood friends who remained close when they were adults. Joey moved in with Danny whose wife, Pam, was killed by a drunk driver. Joey wanted to assist in raising the three motherless daghters D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle.

Joey has a collee degree in education so that he would have a career option in the event hid dream of becoming a comedian didn't work out. Joey had to sleep in the alcove of Danny's living room but after complaining that he had no privacy, Danny remodled his basemet garage and turned it into a bedroom for his friend. He aspired to be a stand-up comic, whose act includes` imitations of the voices of cartoon characters like Pepe LePew, Popeye, Elmer Fudd, Bullwinkle, and many others.

Jesse was the brother of Danny's late wife and he also lived in the full home. When Joey first moves in the two men did nto get along but quicky became good friends. Joey ended up being Jesse's best man when he married Becky ( Lori Loughlin). In case you did not watch Fuller House here is an update on Joey. He moved to Las Vegas and became a successful comedian and ventriloquist and married Ginger (Laura Bell Bundy) who is a magician.

The couple's four children are named Phyllis, Lewis, Joan, and Jerry and probably named for famed comedians Phyllis Diller, Joan Rivers, and Jerry Lewis. Joey also became an ordained minister, and started his own religion that is based on ice hockey and called "Our Lady of the Holy Goalie."
