Cool Works

Cool works is a wonderful site to use for traveling or looking for a cool job to work in any season. Such as Winter, Fall, Summer or Springtime. It is an incredibly useful source for looking for the next best stop for a vacation or to work somewhere new.

How do you get started? Cool works has lots of categories to choose from such as what type of job you would like to do. A few examples in those job categories are: Camp jobs, Administration, Cruise jobs, Creative jobs, Brewery, Distillery, Vineyard and Winery Jobs, Retail jobs and so on.

Next, where do I want to work? If you aren't too sure on where you want to work they have a section on states or sometimes places abroad. If you click on states, you will see all the states provided and how many posts are within that state. For instance, Alaska may have 81 posts available at the moment. The cool works team updates the site quite frequently! So, go back to your favorite states and keep browsing for more opportunities!

How do I know which place to choose? So many choices! If you aren't too sure on what place you want, you may want to ask yourself deep questions. Some deep questions are, "do they offer accommodations such as room and board?" "How many hours are they providing on the job?" "Do they have a community shower?" "Dorm or housing?" "Is it co-ed?" "How can I get around town if I need groceries?" "Gas stations?" It is also a great idea to come up with a long list of questions like that since you want to know what living is like there and how to get around. Some places may offer shuttle services or you might be able to tag up with some friends.

Next, sometimes I like to look up the places individually and see what the climate is like. In certain places like Estes Park Colorado might be cooler than other parts of Colorado. The important thing to do is your research if you are interested in knowing what the climate is like. That way, you can be prepared to know what type of clothes to pack. Nevertheless, it is important no matter what to pack stuff for both warm and cold weather to be on the safe side. Lastly, employees can tell you all about the weather and how to prepare for your upcoming journey if you decide to work for that individual company.

What do I need to look for in these companies? It all depends on what your interests are. Some places may offer a variety of things to do in town or around on their campus. Every place should offer a scoop section, the scoop sections let's you know what is available at each location. Some things to look out for in the scoop section: season, internet availability, staff size, housing, cell phone service, meals and location.

What else do I need to know? Most companies will tell you about their ideal employee experience, ideal candidate, about the company, perks about the company, room and board, getting there and around, employee perks, and what you can do for fun. It is important to read about the page as much as you can so you can get an idea on what you are looking for. Otherwise you might dive into something you may or may not like. Some places might offer a couple of days off and it is okay to ask questions if they are in a row or not. That way you can do your best to plan around your work. However, changes happen frequently and most companies expect you to come to work. But, they also want you to enjoy your time up there.

Lastly, cool works has a community blog where lots of people share their experiences. They will tell you about their adventures and where they have been. The community is a great way to talk to other people with more experience than your own or help you find places you are looking for. There are plenty of resources on the website such a download book on job seekers guide and they have a Facebook page to follow.

Overall cool works is a very useful site if you are looking for a new place to work for a period of time such as four months or so on. (Or a place to vacation at). Each company will tell you how long they are looking for and you get to decide if that is for you or not. Next, they also offer all year round if you are looking to take a break from hopping one place to another. Lastly, the website offers a lot more than what I have mentioned and thankfully they update the site frequently. So, you never know they might add more sections than the ones I have mentioned. The great thing about the site is how detailed it is and you can create your own profile on the site as well.
