Movie Reviews: 'Eternals' Inspires Indifference
I don’t hate Eternals. I don’t love Eternals either. I’m ambivalent to Eternals which is perhaps more damning than a negative review. At least a negative review would be memorable. I’m several days from my viewing of Eternals and I am having to use spoiler websites to try and recall parts of the movie. Eternals is exceptionally competent and perhaps the best movie that could be made with this script and this cast. But still, the reaction is mostly… blah.

With the conclusion of the Infinity Saga, Marvel has begun to reload their roster of heroes, drawing from a wide variety of comics and plugging some of the best talent in Hollywood into these character roles. The Eternals, while a departure from the likes of Steve Rodgers or Tony Stark, stayed close to the familiar extraterrestrial storytelling that MCU fans will recognize from films such as Guardians of the Galaxy or Captain Marvel. Now, upcoming projects are rumored to introduce a whole new type of character, with the expansion of the occult within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, possibly beginning with the highly anticipated 2022 Disney+ series, Moon Knight.

Five years ago, Thanos wiped out half the world's population. Then, with a snap of their fingers, people brought them all back. The sudden re-emergence of the missing population provided all the energy needed for the emergence to begin.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Even Marvel's movies aren't immune from the grief of public scrutiny over issues like sexuality and politics. I remember thinking the same thing when Marvel released Black Panther. Then it was a matter of race that drove the hysterical fear, a fear that was later proven false after the images were proven to be faked. Now, Marvel's Eternals appears to be the next movie on the "haters" hit list.

It was 1980 and I found myself at my weekly visit to the comic rack at the Food 4 Less store while my parents shopped for groceries. I went in looking for the latest Uncanny X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man, or Captain America issue, but those Marvel heroes would soon see their favored status put in jeopardy by the first issue of a new comic.

Why Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a particularly important movie.
It is the fervent opinion of this writer that 2019 saw one of (if not) the most important cinematic event in recent history. Avengers: Endgame was the culmination of a solid decade’s worth of storytelling and world-building that has never been seen before in the history of motion pictures. Its defining moments being an epic battle that was filled with the characters that cinemagoers like myself had spent almost eleven years building an emotional attachment to. It was a journey that we had all been on since the humble beginnings of the 2008 film the incredible Hulk and slowly became not so much a series of films but an institution in its own right. So, it is perfectly understandable that the millions of fans across the world would be left in somewhat of a vacuum after Endgame closed the lid on an era of Marvel history that we all know as the Infinity Saga. And in this post-stark, post-infinity stones, post-Avengers world, we all stand hand in hand looking to the vast unknown that is Marvel's phase four.

Disney/Marvel Studios recently made some huge and unexpected scheduling changes to the films coming out in 2022 and 2023 (and in some cases, even into 2024). One of those major changes is the movement of almost every single one of Marvel’s announced movies, including the last Phase 4 movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It is currently scheduled to be released July 28, 2023, barring any other schedule changes. After the announcement made recently, this may not even be soon enough for fans dying to see what this film is going to focus on.

A popular character in comic books, cartoons, and movies for nearly 60 years, the Beast isn't the most powerful Marvel hero, the most tragic, the smartest, or the funniest, but he is one of the richest and most unique, making him a sought-after character for writers and artists to use decade after decade. You may think you're familiar with every aspect of his history, but there are likely moments you were unaware of that you may find interesting.
5 MCU Characters Who Overcame Apparent Handicaps To Become Even Greater Heroes
After a long wait, made longer by unavoidable pandemic related delays, Marvel's Eternals will arrive in theatres around the world in early November, 2021. Many of the major characters in Eternals are reimagined versions of their comic book counterparts, as part of director Chloe Zhao's efforts to include greater representation in the film.

Disney and Marvel Studios recently announced that they will be pushing back quite a few release dates for films coming out in the next few years. Marvel has a full list of projects in various stages of production, including a new release Eternals, that has just come into theaters. There are also announced projects that do not even have titles or stories written yet. Unfortunately though, fans are going to have to wait a little longer for many of the highly anticipated projects. In addition, Disney has announced that their entire list of movies that are currently supposed to be released in 2022 is getting pushed back at least one release spot if not more. This includes many Marvel projects that are supposed to come out in 2022.

I knew it was going to be hard to rank every MCU movie, and there are so many factors that go into a good/bad movie, but here I am. I have seen each movie multiple times and based these ranks solely on instinct; I’m not a real movie critic here, haha. Also, there may be some spoilers.
Black Widow Review
Wow, is this the first Marvel movie I'm reviewing on this platform? Good Lord, it's been a while. To catch you up on my experience with Marvel, even though I know a lot about how the world has developed over the last couple of years, I haven't seen a lot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I adore the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, I thought Doctor Strange was underwhelming, and even though I overall enjoyed WandaVision (which I've reviewed on this website), I definitely didn't fall head over heels for it. In my opinion, this is my least favorite of the MCU properties I've seen so far, but it definitely still has its entertaining and satisfying moments. Let's start with talking about the positives first.
