* What secret in Berzerker's past holds the KEY to his immortality?

* The last piece of B.'s tragic origin and the fate of his parents are revealed as Diana continues unearthing his memories, prompting a new mission in the present day.

* Will this one unlock the mystery that is his existence? Or will B. be cursed to wander the Earth forever?

The fact that Unute was made the way he is by his father should be unforgivable and that his berserker rage was cultivated and made worse is proof of this. Of course there is but one event that says the world be damned if I’m cursed to walk it I’ll walk it causing as much havoc as I possibly can while looking and praying for a way to end my pitiful existence. While some of this is my transference of the situation unto him, it is what I would do if this would have happened to me, much of it is based upon those events which we see unfold here. The complexity of this story is amazing to me and that the further we get into this the more involved it gets is simply sensational.

I am a huge fan of the way that this is being told. The story & plot development that we see through how the sequence of events unfold as well as how the reader learns information is presented exceptionally well. The character development we see through the dialogue, the character interaction as well as how they act and react to the situations and circumstances which they encounter really continues to flesh them out beautifully. The pacing is superb and as it takes us through the pages revealing more of the story the more engaging the book becomes.

I greatly appreciate the way that this is being structured as well as how the layers within the story continue to grow, evolve and strengthen. The layers of course contain the surprise twists and revelations along with the characterisation and so much more that fully engages the reader by adding such depth, dimension and complexity to the story. The way that everything works together to create the story’s ebb & flow as well as how it moves the story forward is achieved extremely well.

I am very much enjoying the interior artwork here. The linework is great and that Ron has a very distinct style with how he utilises them and their varying weights and techniques to create the detail work we see throughout the book is fantastic! To see how the past comes to life is sublime and how the backgrounds are utilised to enhance and expand the moments so beautifully that they are perfectly rendered. The way we see them utilised within the composition of the panels to bring out the depth perception, sense of scale and the overall sense of size and scope to the book is marvellous. The utilisation of the page layouts and how we see the angles and perspective in the panels show a remarkably talented eye for storytelling. The colour work is extremely nice to see. The various hues and tones within the colours being utilised to create the shading, highlights and shadow work really shows a great eye for how colour works.

Diana has to change her tactics if whatever hidden agenda she has is going to play out in her favour. Unute already knows the score, that they want an army of soldiers just like him and he’s their guinea pig, under the guise of helping him of course. So maybe she finally realises that to get more of him she’ll have to get pregnant and monitor the baby to see if he or she will possess the same traits? I’m freeballing that idea but part of me wouldn’t put it past her to get the results that she wants and I sincerely doubt she’s going to do anything for altruistic purposes. With some dynamic writing and interesting characterisation wrapped up in some solid interiors we’re getting to this thought provoking and engaging section of the story where anything can, and will most likely, happen.
