Let’s face it: Quarantine sucks. But that doesn’t mean we can’t pass the time with discovering a new book series. Personally books are the only thing keeping me sane right now.

Here are some book series you could read during Social Distancing.

The Lunar Chronicles By Marissa Meyer

Asia is now an emperor-ruled country known as the Eastern Commonwealth. Letumosis, a fatal disease started by the Lunars and nicknamed the "Blue Fever" Linh Cinder, a cyborg is forced to work as a mechanic to support her adopted Mother and sisters, one who Linh considers a best friend. Things change when Linh Cinder comes face to face with the Crown Prince.

If you enjoy the classic fairy tales then you’ll enjoy these books. Taking place in a future with cyborgs, androids and a race of humans who colonized the moon. The Lunar Chronicles is a sci-fi twist on “Cinderella” “Snow White” “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Rapunzel”

Hannibal Lecter.

Hannibal Lecter aka Hannibal the Cannibal is a brilliant former psychiatrist with taste for the finer things in life including human flesh. While he is locked in a Maximum security he is often found helping the police find other killers. Hannibal soon meets Clarice Starling, an up and coming FBI agent who wants him to help her with a case.

I’ve recently discovered that few people know that the Hannibal franchise is based on books. The series is not for the faint of heart, but for those who love crime and serial killers. Also the book ending is much different from the movies.

Flowers in the Attic/Dollanganger Series

After the death of their loving father, four children are brought to the wealthy grandparents they never knew and locked in an attic waiting for the day their sickly grandfather dies and their mother to inherit his money.

Uglies Series

Set 300 years into the future, when you turn 16 you receive a “Pretty” operation but until then you are ugly. The Pretties and Uglies are separated. When close to 16 Tally befriends Shay, things seem alright. Until Shay disappears before Tally’s big day. Tally is given a choice: Find Shay and her hideout or remain “Ugly” forever.

Matched Series

In a future where everything is controlled by the Government. 17 years old are “Matched” with their ideal partners for the purpose of creating healthy offspring. Cassie, a 17 year old who believes she will be matched with her best friend Xander, sees another boy. Cassie begins searching for the source of the error and wonders whether or not she would be truly happy with Xander. She soon discovers that her perfect society isn’t all that perfect.

A Song of Ice and Fire

Based on the real life War of the Roses. In the fictional land of Westeros, a land of Lords and Ladies, dragons, Witches, and much more. A “rumor” sparks a war of several “Kings” who fight to claim the throne of thrones “The Iron Throne”

Note: Yeah I know everyone has heard or seen Game of Thrones but there is so much and so many characters missing from the show. And if you finished the tv show and hated the “Dorne Plot” like I did you have to read the books, the books are so much better I promise.

Sophie Anderson series

Sophie Anderson is a FBI agent from Australia. She is relocated to Quantico. She was trained to discover serial killers' patterns and motives to track and captive before they kill again.

Note: I loved this series so much. The first book is my favorite.

Well I hope some of you read these books. Maybe some of you will find a books series you’ll make your favorite.

Keep calm and Read on.
