Absolute Batman is one of the best comic books ever written for DC. This comic book is a completely new original version of Batman, where he must battle villains who are able to turn into actual monsters. One particular villain that really stands out in this story is Joker, or Jack Grimm.

Jack is rumored to be a God that has been alive for centuries. He is a rich man who desires to watch the world burn and enjoys inflicting terror on others. He is also rumored to be Jack the Ripper, and judging from his strange history, this could be true. Joker also appears to struggle with his transformation throughout the story, and every time he appears in the comic, he has a different face.

Fans believe that due to his monster transformation, it makes sense why the Joker always looks so different. In one part of the panel, he goes on a massive rant about what he wishes for the world, and his face looks so unnatural, almost like he is struggling to control his urge to transform. There is another crazy reveal with his character too, that is very disturbing. It's implied that Joker uses the bodies of babies to keep himself young, explaining his immortality. Why he needs children to accomplish this, is scary, and it really shows that his only goal is to continue inflicting more pain on the world.

It explains why he is the rich one instead of Batman. Bruce used his money for good, while Joker wants to use his wealth for power and terror. This makes Joker even more unstoppable, and the thought of a serial killer who is able to transform into a monster that is impossible to defeat is the scariest part.

He literally represents everything that is wrong with the world, and only Batman can stop him.

Speaking of Batman, they finally met for the first time in a recent issue of Absolute Batman.

Bruce Wayne was working a job in construction, and Joker suddenly appears to him, standing on one part of the building that Bruce is working on. This obviously is a massive red flag, because no human being would be that calm about standing on a high object like this, and he appears from out of thin air to speak to Bruce. It's also insane how so many villains already know that he is Batman, in this universe, that does not matter to any of them, people like Joker are only looking for a fight.

Joker tells Bruce that he is thrilled to finally meet him, but for obvious reasons, Bruce immediately attempts to attack him. Joker stops the attack like nothing, and he remains calm, telling him he wants to continue fighting Bruce. He does not care that he is Batman, he is so happy to finally meet someone that excites him. If Joker is an actual God, this makes sense, because I can't imagine how bored he must be after so many years of living.

Joker then briefly transforms his face into a monster, and Bruce falls off the building in a panic, but Joker stops his fall. He informs Bruce that there is no need for that, implying that they are going to stay together, continuing their fight for who knows how long.

This is one of the greatest concepts that has ever been done for Joker's character.

I have never been so intrigued by Joker like this. Sure, I love the character in so many DC stories, but this version is the most terrifying he has ever been. Joker is an actual monster that wants to hurt people, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.

How Batman is going to defeat this villain is beyond me.
