Season 8 spoilers are ahead of us so at this point if you have not seen episode 30, please do not read ahead just in case. Thank you.
As a new watcher of the show, I watched season 6, and I did not see season 7 due to everyone saying it was awful. Here's a hot take on what makes it so awful as well, the fans. The producers of course know what they're doing by making things messy, however, I do not like the voting system only because people are voting based on who they like when asked "what couple is more compatible"? That should never be the case in my opinion.
Kayda gets to be first because I love that girl. Did you watch season 6 girl? Did you not see what Aaron did to Kaylor? I'm having flashbacks right now. Zach went in there and said he was cooked over Alannah saying she loved Marvel movies. This man was also all over her multiple times and would have come back with her if she had not have been removed. Kayda you noticed this and asked about it on movie night. Zach did not disclose the whole truth beforehand and that completely changed the story. Put that on top of Zach asking if Kayda would be mad if he explored a bombshell immediately after their big one in Hideaway. Girl, leave him. He is not good enough for you. If Taylor Swift has taught us anything it's that the English accent on a man is like a spell, a bad one. This guy even threatens her with withholding breakfast for her because he was upset about the girls voting Gabe off and he was serious about it.
Kenzie I will never be on your hate train. The Kenzie hate on the internet right now is annoying to be honest. She's one of the only ones to really play the game from the beginning. I do believe Gabriel was playing as well, however, he never seemed to be fully invested in a girl and like he was just ready for the next new person to come in. I bring up Gabe because that's usually a talking point around Kenzie as well as now Sincere. To say Kenzie is the female Sincere is a little far fetched. She didn't lie to the guys about what she was feeling or doing. The only thing she ever did in private was kiss Corbin in the bedroom. I do fully believe that if Corbin hadn't acted the way he did in Casa Amor then Kenzie wouldn't have completely written him off during that week. Before leaving for Casa they had chosen each other and even he seemed pretty committed to being with one another. I don't mean closing off but they left it in a great space and Corbin immediately folded for the Casa girls. Clam Slam, you go girl. Also in episode 30 what did Dylan even want Kenzie to say? He seemed like he wanted to be a victim and was trying to make her grovel.
Trinity and Bryce are my winners. No notes, that man was suffering in Casa without her. I also loved their karaoke bit. Bryce is what Zach thinks he is.
Melanie is being abused in this villa by Sincere and I hate to see it. This woman has been to hell and back with this guy mentally and here she is still with him. Girl you deserve so much better! I was really hoping she would choose one of the Casa guys, any of them! I just don't like seeing him near her. Especially how he moved through Casa and acted like he was missing Melanie the whole time. Why don't they show everyone the clip of him saying he forgot what she even looked like.
KC count your days. Titi, watch yourself. The way KC spoke about Aniya and Titi thinks he wouldn't do it to her to? Clearly his boys aren't gonna be honest with anyone or even check him when he talks the way he did about her during Casa. Titi defending KC gave me the biggest cringe moment. He was extremely disrespectful to Aniya and I can't get that out of my head. To be so nasty to someone who you are coupled up with is evil.
Carl is such a sweet guy. I really hope he's not a love bomber because that would be heartbreaking. I love how he seems to truly care about Aniya and I wanted her to pick him so badly during the Casa recoupling. I am so glad they had a vote to bring him back. Those are the kind of votes we should do. Let's bring Beatrice back come on.
As for things about the show itself I wish they would make Movie Night a permanent episode with each season. I wish the challenges weren't all so, vulgar? I'm not a prude by any means I just would rather see a little less of that and more about these people's personalities, especially while interacting with each other. The karaoke challenge was very fun and I really enjoyed watching that. They should do more dates, and let bombshells choose 2 islanders to go on a date! It felt like Hideaway happened way too soon this season. I believe they should be at least on episode 17-20.
By the way, does anyone feel like production is letting things slip to these islanders about what's being said sometimes? To me, that would be upsetting. Another thing about the show is I would rather see normal, every day people and not influencers or people like that. Bring on the Dairy Queen managers!
