Pokemon, while largely a kids' game, and television show, hasn't been without its fair share of disturbing moments over the years. Whether they're creepy, or oddly sexual, you won't soon forget these 15 disturbing moments in Pokemon history.

1. Celadon City Pervert

In the original Pokemon game, you'll stumble across an old man in Celadon City. He stands outside of the city's gym, and muses about the women inside. However, most of the trainers and gym leaders that you encounter are all quite young, probably in their teenage years, making the old man a pervert.

2. James Wears a Bikini

Aired in Japan, but banned in America (no surprise there), the anime episode "Beauty and the Beach" features James participating in a bikini contest with fake breasts. This offends the much younger Misty, who's still growing up.

3. Selling Slowpoke Tails for Money

Early in the games, you learn that people eat Pokemon when Team Rocket devised a scheme to cut off the tails of Slowpokes, and sell them for consumption. Apparently the tips contain a pleasant liquid too. Slowpokes can grow their tails back, but that still doesn't make this any less weird.

4. Lavender Town

Lavender Town from the first Pokemon game acts as a haven for dead Pokemon. Beyond acting as the introduction to many kids that Pokemon can actually die, the music made a lot of people feel uncomfortable. Many theories have existed about the tune, and its isochronal composition does prove that it can cause feelings of dread.

5. You Kill Gary's Raticate

Speaking of dead Pokemon, in the first game, Gary's mourning his lost Raticate. Well, not too long before this, you and Gary (or your rival of another name of your choosing) battle, and Raticate is on his team. You need to win this battle to progress in the game, so you kill Raticate.

6. The Cubone Theory

Many theories have surrounded Cubone, the sad little Pokemon that wears the skull of its dead mother. People have assumed that the mother is a deceased Kanghaskan. Regardless, Cubone wears its dead mother's skull. Think on that a little.

7. The Porygon Episode

Another episode that never made it to the US, "Electric Soldier Porygon" featured a giant explosion from Pikachu that leads to a full screen of flashing blue and red lights for a good six seconds. The episode led to seizures, wooziness, lack of consciousness, and convulsions in some Japanese viewers.

8. Saving on Trees

Starting with the first Pokemon game, you could cut down trees to progress. However, if you saved on the spot where you cut the tree, and then shut the game off, something horrible would happen. The tree reappears when you reload the game, and you can't move again, thus killing your save entirely, and forcing you to start over.

9. Spoink Can't Stop Moving

Spoink, a psychic pig Pokemon on a spring, may look adorable. However, if you read its Pokedex entry, it becomes a whole lot less cute. If Spoink ever stops hopping on its spring, it dies, since it can't breathe.

10. Yamask's Pokedex Entry

Yamask, a ghost type of Pokemon, may have an eerie appearance, but give it a second look. The Pokedex entries explain that the mask attached to it represents the face of the person it was before it died. Therefore, all Yamasks should look slightly different.

11. Hypno Kidnaps Children

Of course, creepy Pokemon have existed since the first generation. In the anime episode "Hypno's Naptime," Hypno lures a whole bunch of children away from their homework papers. If you didn't think he was creepy before, you certainly do now.

12. So Does Drifloon

Drifloon's another deceivably adorable Pokemon. Outwardly, it looks like a cute little balloon with a cloud atop its head. However, it poses as a normal balloon, and kidnaps children, luring them to the underworld. Yes, you can read all of this in its Pokedex entries.

13. The Old Chateau

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, players could reach the Old Chateau after escaping Eterna Forest. In almost every Pokemon game by now, there's a scary city or building, and the Old Chateau's no exception. In it, you see a spooky ghost girl who moves through the walls just once, and you never see her again.

14. The Sabrina Episode

For some real nightmare fuel, you didn't have to watch very far into the Pokemon anime. In the first season, Ash fights psychic gym leader, Sabrina. However, it's not a typical episode at all. Sabrina can control people with her psychic powers, uses a creepy girl as her proxy, and shrinks Ash, and his friends, to fit into a dollhouse. Ash surely got out of there as soon as possible.

15. N's Room

N, or Natural Harmonia Gropius from Pokemon Black and White, may seem like a tough rival throughout the game. However, you eventually get to see his bedroom, which looks more like that of a child's. Many thought that the room resembled Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch, which also begins with an 'n.'
