On July 15th, it will mark 10 Years since Tim Burton's version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was released. It's time to look at the kids from the Film. What they looked like 10 years ago and what they look like today! Obviously all these children actors are all grown up now.
Charlie Bucket
Freddie Highmore was responsible for playing the shy character of Charlie Bucket. During the time of the film Freddie was 12 years old. Charlie found a Golden Ticket and took his Grandpa Joe to the Factory for the tour. Since Charlie and the Choolate Factory Freddie has starred in Spiderwick Chronicles and is also currently in the TV Series Bates Motel. You'll be amazed as to what he looks like today!
Violet Beauregarde
AnnaSophia Robb portrayed the character of Violet. Violet was known for constantly chewing gum and causing trouble. We saw Violet blow up like a huge Blueberry in the film and had to be rolled away. You might have seen AnnaSophia's face today as she has starred as the young Carrie Bradshaw from Sex And The City in the prequel series The Carrie Diaries. AnnaSophia is now 21 years old. You wouldn't recognise her from what she looks like today.
Augustus Gloop
Philip Wiegratz was known for playing the rather greedy boy Augustus Gloop. Augustus ends up falling in the chocolate river early on in the film. He then gets sucked up huge pipe and well disappears. Philip has starred in loads of German Films since Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He is now currently 21 years old.
Mike Teavee
Jordan Fry is known for playing Mike Teavee in the 2005 adaptation of Roald Dahl's book. Mike was always grumpy and couldn't get away from his Television. Mike ends up getting shrunk and put inside a TV. Mike is then sent to the Taffy-Puller room and is stretched out like normal again. Since 2005 Jordan has starred in Gone.
Veruca Salt
Julia Winter is known for playing the bossy and demanding Veruca Salt. Veruca wants everything she could possibly think of. Veruca ends up falling down the garbage shoot during the tour whilst trying to grab one of the squirrels. Since 2005 Julia has starred in Dolphin Tale 2.
