Nowadays entertainment has taken over the whole world irrespective of age class. People of every class and profession indulge in watching different movies, stage shows, and dramas to enjoy themselves and release their stresses. Movies are of different types based upon the content of the movies: these may be of action, comedy, or romantic category.

Apart from time pass and entertainment, we can also watch movies to learn important lessons and tenets of life that can really assist us to build a reasonable personality. We need to watch some movies to learn worldly tactics and decorum so that we may not get in a troubled situation and maelstrom.

In this article, I will share 10 such movies that you must watch in your lifetime.

1.Cinema Paradiso

Cinema Paradiso a worth-watching movie was directed and written by Giuseppe Tornatore in 1988 in Italy. The main storyline of this movie is based upon the story of a Protti family who has possessed a movie theatre in a city of Italy called Mantua for a long time (1904).

This film is based upon an inspiring story of a boy who had a strong proclivity towards movies. He wanted to know the secrets and tactics of movie-making. Fortunately, he became acquainted with a projectionist to learn these tactics. As a result, a deep relation is formed between the two. After some time, a day came that makes him leave his village to pursue his dream. After a huge span of thirty-year, he received a message summoning him back to the village.

2-Life is beautiful

“Life is beautiful” is one of the movies you must watch in your lifetime. This movie was directed by Roberto Benigni in 1997 in Italy who also took part in writing the film with Vincenzo Cerami.

The main story-line of the movie is based upon a waiter who somehow meets a beautiful teacher and wins her heart by the dint of good looks and humor. After some time they got married and had a son. But with the passage of time, their joys began to vanish when their son was detached from their parents and was taken to a concentration camp.

3.Children of Heaven

3rd movie that really deserves the spot of being graded as worth-watching movies in the lifetime is ‘’Children of heaven”. It was directed in Iran, 1997 by Majid Majidi. Its main storyline is based upon a hapless family consisting of one brother, a sister, and their parents.

Once the young brother loses the only pair of shoes his poor sister had. The siblings made attempts to hide that bad news from their old father and ill mother. Upon contemplating the solution, they made a scheme to share the sole pair of shoes they had till they found a new pair for the sister.

4.The color of paradise

4th place in this article is dedicated to the movie ‘’ The Color of Paradise” that was directed by Majid Majidi in Tehran (Iran) in 1997. The main storyline of the movie revolves around an innocent boy who is substantially unaware of the world.

It is a story that narrates the innocence of a child and a meticulous view of faith, spirituality, and humanity. The main character is a boy whose inner abilities are so greatly enhanced and the cinematography is simply awesome.

5.Rabit proof fence

Another movie that you must watch once in your lifetime is ‘’Rabbit proof fence’’. It was directed and produced by Phillip Noyce in Australia in 2002. The story of this movie is based upon three mixed-race girls.

Three mixed-race girls are forcefully detached from their mother and sent to a far-off training camp for domestic workers. Actually, the government wanted to integrate them into the society of whites. The training camp and their home-territory are linked by a vast rabbit-proof fence that covers a huge area that can help them somehow to return to their home.

6. In the mood for love

The movie that deserves without dispute the movie named” In the mood of love”. This romantic movie was directed by Wong Kar-wai in Hong Kong, 2000.

The storyline is based upon two people whose partners were cheating on them. There was a male journalist whose wife was preoccupied with work and could not give her husband ample attention and love.

Similarly, a married woman whose husband was also preoccupied with work was extremely bored with his man’s behavior. Both these ignored persons got to know each other and formed a strong bond that turned into love later.

The background music of this movie is a stand-out one.

7.Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring

Another worth-watching movie that possesses the position of number 7 in our article is “spring, summer, fall, winter... and spring”. This movie was directed by Kim ki-duk in Korea 2003.

The plot of this movie is that an apprentice of a young Buddhist is trained into an undisturbed monastery in the wilderness of Korea. After some days the teenager encounters a girl who came to the monastery for seeking help. The apprentice got allured to the girl and left the monastery and followed her.

But it is not just that, this movie teaches us the various colors of life. Never miss this one.

8. 3IRON

It is another scintillating movie that we must watch in our lifetime. This romantic drama movie was directed by Kim ki-Duk in Korea, 2004.

Its storyline is based upon a homeless person and keeps roaming from home to home to spend his days. This lonely drifter also did small tasks in the home to show his gratitude. One day, he came across a house where met an abused wife that sought his attention.

Personally, the ending of this movie and the final wordings on the screen have made an immense impact on my life. Beautiful movie.

9. The city of God

This movie was co-directed by Fernando Meirelles and Katia Lund in Brazil, 2002.

The story-line of this film of two young men, who choose two contrasting paths, one of them became a photographer and the other a drug dealer. A stage then came and a war started between the two men. One of the uniqueness of this movie is its non-linear way of storytelling and the rusty truth of gang life.

10.The way home

The last movie in this article is named” The way home” that is worth-watching and you must watch it once. This movie was directed by Lee jeong-hyang in South Korea, 2002.

The plot of the movie is based upon a boy who loves his grandmother and wants to live with her. Conversely, her mother compels her to leave the countryside of his grandmother as she wants to scope outdoor a new job.

His son taunts and insults her mother for leaving the territory. But at last, he starts to love and respect her mother. A beautiful and very insightful movie about the relationship.
