1. Background
Christopher Russell was born on January 8, 1983. Like so many other Hallmark actors, he is Canadian. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and raised there by his British parents.
Even though his last name is Russell, and he does resemble the iconic American actor Kurt Russell, they are not related.
2. Taste of Acting
When Christopher was only three years old, he played a donkey in a preschool drama of The Nativity Story. That was thrilling for the youngster, and that's when he decided he wanted to be an actor. It was confirmed when he was 12 years old. The idea of being an actor was still deep in his mind. He was an active member of a drama club throughout high school. Unlike most graduates from high school, Christopher already had an agent and soon began auditioning for professional acting roles.
3. Acting Career
Many people who want to become actors get their first start as models before they get that big break in acting. Christopher knew from a very young age what he wanted to be and he never gave up that idea. Therefore, he didn't mind accepting supporting roles before he got his big break as a lead character. Today, Christopher has over 66 credits in movies and television series, including Beauty and the Beast, Flashpoint, Land of the Dead, and Star Trek: Discovery.

Out of Russell's 66 films, 14 of them are Hallmark movies. Many of them are romantic or Christmas movies. Some of them are a combination of both romance and Christmas.
Before Christopher was getting leading roles, he performed in several supporting roles. His many fans compliment him on his acting ability. They love his acting and the chemistry with women in his romantic films.

Christopher is a family man. He and his wife are proud parents of two children. Their daughter was born eight weeks prematurely on April 28, 2013. She had to stay in the NICU for 5 weeks. Their son was born on time two years later on October 23, 2015. On Instagram, Christopher refers to his daughter as "Daddy's Girl" and his son as "Mommy's Boy." You can see how that is illustrated in the photo above.
9. Hobbies and Interests
When Russell is not working, he loves to spend time outdoors exploring nature and enjoying the sunshine with his family. Together they love hiking, swimming, boating, and traveling.

Even though Christopher has an Instagram account, he doesn't share information about his family or private life. He shares photos of his wife and children, but he doesn't reveal their names or talk about their whereabouts.
