During today's rather lengthy Nintendo Direct, the company took time to give us a view of what they have coming down the pipeline for fans in the upcoming year. Once they shifted away from games for a few minutes, Nintendo enthusiasts had a moment to rejoice thanks to the focus on upcoming hardware.

Two of those pieces of hardware just happen to be new iterations of their New Nintendo 2DS XL line. The best part of the reveal is the upcoming Pokéball themed 2DS XL, which resembles the traditional Poké Ball from the Pokémon franchise.

Those of you getting ready for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have a chance to pick up the new model which releases on November 3. While there are a few other editions out there, this stylized version is definitely one that will stick out among the crowd.

If the Poké Ball theme is a bit much for you, the popular orange and white Nintendo 2DS XL may be right up your alley when it launches in North America on October 6.

Nintendo didn't give a price for either version, but we can expect them both to sit around the $149.99 price point of existing models.

There's a new Nintendo Switch, too.

The Nintendo Switch continues to be one of the fastest selling consoles to date and Nintendo seems well aware of that. The company announced during their stream that Super Mario Odyssey, the latest in Mario's legacy of 3D story-driven titles, is getting a Nintendo Switch Bundle when it releases on October 27.

Nintendo has revealed that the bundle will feature two red joy-cons, meshing well with Mario's all red outfit, a Super Mario Odyssey themed carrying case, a physical copy of the game, and and the console itself. Again, #Nintendo didn't announce a price point during their Nintendo Direct stream, which can leave us to assume that it will sit at the $349.99 price point that both the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild bundles both launched at.

When can you pre-order the new Nintendo 2DS XL models and 'Super Mario Odyssey' bundle?

Chances are they may start taking pre-orders within the next day or so at local retailers. Since supplies seem pretty limited after the launch of the SNES Classic, it's highly suggested that you secure yours immediately.
