Strategy in PUBG Mobile

My usual strategy in PUBG Mobile is as follows:

Use the waiting area to the highest advantage: Practice hand combat moves or discuss your game strategy with your squad. With the latest 0.8 version update, you can also see the airplane route during the waiting time only, so you may also discuss your drop point strategy with your squad before jumping into the actual game.

Jumping spots: It you are a noob squad, identify areas to jump where there would be less action and you can get a moderate loot. For example, in Erangel map, School, Pochinki or Georgopol are high action zones, so try to jump in nearby secluded areas with just 2–3 houses/huts where you can get just enough loot to survive an incoming attack. After that, about 10 minutes into the game, you may start towards the nearby prominent area in order to sweep it. Most probably, by then you will get the area pretty clear of any action. You may get some supplies from the crates of dead players.

Weapons: This may differ from player to player. I will share what I prefer in my gameplay. I always keep one Assault Rifle (M416 or M16A4) as the primary and one SMG (UZI or UMP9) as secondary. I personally like the M416 and the UMP9 as you can apply all manner of attachments to them giving them great flexibility and an upper edge. I prefer using 4x and 6x zooms with these guns during long range targets. UZI provides a high burst rate and a very short recoil for close range encounters. Prefer Suppressors over Compressors. They reduce fire sound to a great extent. Always get the PAN if you find it - though it doesn’t help much as a weapon but having it equipped is akin to wearing an additional piece of armour as it’s able to deflect bullets off your posterior with ease. For sniper lovers, maps like Erangel and Miramar have Kar98 which is by-far the best sniper available without doubt.

Health-kits: Keep at least 2 First Aid Kits, 4–6 Bandages, 6–8 Painkillers and 4–6 Energy Drinks in your bag. If you are lucky enough to find an Adrenaline Syringe or Med Kit, pick it for sure. Consumables like painkillers and energy drinks provide additional health and help during the last circle of the game when the blue circle closes off completely and all players alive are exposed out of the Playzone. The health decreases in great degree and only the last man standing with the most health gets the chicken dinner.

Other In-Game suggestions:

Use Props to the max: Always get to a hideout (huge bush/wall cover/house) while idle in the game. That is, while checking bag items or taking health consumables or checking the map, always get to some cover so that you are not exposed as an easy target.

Keep a check on Bag capacity: Take out unsupported and unused items from your bag to increase bag capacity.

Analyse map early into the game: During the initial minutes of the game after sufficient loot, try to analyse the map and foresee where the last circle can form. Try to reach that area at the earliest and spot your vantage points. You may also use a high-ground as your vantage point to see nearby surrounding. Make use of a covered vehicle to cover long distances and open fields. Vehicles easily attract lot of attention, so abandon vehicle when the playzone becomes small. I prefer UAZs as they are good for offroad and well covered.

Beware of airdrops: Don’t rush directly into an airdrop - they may be used as baits by other squads to lure you in. Always scan the area well before going in.

Clothing: Wear dark clothing in order to camouflage - Some recommended colors are Black/Green (for Erangel and Sanhok) and Orange/Brown (for Miramar). Remove shoes and move slowly when target is near for achieving maximum stealth.

Prone to prone: Prone only when you want to analyse your surrounding or want to hide from some unwanted sniper attention. Don’t ever prone if you are already spotted by an enemy and under fire. It restricts your movement and gives the enemy an advantage. Try to run away in a zigzag movement and hop as much as possible so that the enemy cannot aim on you easily.

Make use of Throwables: Use frag grenades in high toss mode to hurt enemy without exposing your location on the map. Use Smoke grenades to cover yourself from snipers.

These would be my recommendation.

However, each player slowly develops their unique style of game-playing with time. It all depends on what works for them during the game.
