October 12th has finally come and gone, and with it, a new Black Ops! Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the "Top 5 Reasons You'll Actually Like Call of Duty Black Ops 4."

For this list, we’ll be breaking down the reasons why Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be one of the best in franchise history!

#5: Multiple Zombie Co-Op Campaigns

Treyach has seen fit to completely overhaul one of the most beloved aspects of the COD universe for Black Ops 4. Players will now be able to customize their zombie gameplay in up to a 100 different ways, including selecting from a variety of new custom loadouts and adjusting zombie speed and health. But that’s not all. Black Ops 4 will also feature three different zombie maps, with an additional fourth map available on special editions. The maps include “Voyage of Despair,” which takes place on the RMS Titanic, “IX,” which is set in an ancient Roman arena complete with gladiator gear and “Blood of the Dead,” a remake of classic zombie campaign.

#4: An Updated Multiplayer

The backbone of the franchise, multiplayer is constantly in a state of adapt or die, with immense pressure to keep it fresh with each new iteration. Thankfully Black Ops 4 looks primed for a solid showing, with updates to a number of key areas. For starters the game will feature remakes of fan favorite maps such as Nuketown, Jungle, Firing Range, Slums, and Summit. Second, Black Ops 4 will now feature 10 different specialists; each with their own unique finishing moves and weapon systems. Multiplayer will also include a solo missions mode wherein players can hone their skills in a more traditional, campaign style of play.

For the first time in franchise history Call of Duty will feature manual healing in multiplayer mode. Say bye-bye to regenerative health and hello to a form of healing that is infinitely more strategic. Players will have to decide when to manually trigger their healing powers while also keeping an eye out for enemies, as a single shot will cancel the healing process. From a tactical standpoint the switch will also allow players to target those who are low on health or in the process of healing themselves. Stay frosty friends.

#2: Boots on the Ground Gameplay

During the Black Ops 4 reveal Treyarch’s Game Design Director David Vonderhaar made it pretty clear that thrust jumping and wall running were out and that the game would be 100% boots on the ground. In this way the game is going back to basics, ditching the futurism that defined previous COD iterations for a more grounded style of play. Additionally Black Ops 4 will feature a “guns up” style, wherein players can continue to use their guns when throwing grenades, activating scorestreaks and grappling. Keeping gameplay fast and smooth is a top priority for Treyarch and they appear to have accomplished that goal.

#1: A Mature Battle Royale That's NOT Broken

The overwhelming success of Fortnite has predictably led to the inclusion of a battle royal mode on the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Treyarch calls their version “Blackout,” and it will enable players to duke it out on land, sea and air with accompanying vehicles, all on a map that’s 1500 times bigger than Nuketown. The free-for-all, last-man-standing format will include “10 years worth of Black Ops universe features,” and will include “your favorite characters, your favorite weapons, and the most iconic parts of your favorite maps.” “Blackout” promises to be a more advanced, more fluid version of battle royal mode; one that Vonderhaar calls a “crazy collision of fun.” We’re pumped!
